Morning all……insomnia! Does anyone else suffer with it? Last night was a bad night, I’ve had about 2.5-3hrs sleep.

Took an ambien, slept for maybe 40 mins and now wide awake...
Why do our brains not allow us to sleep?!
There are a number of factors for me. I need dark, quiet, comfort etc . . . but outside those external factors, stress is the main issue. My mind won't quiet down.
I have to be patient, take my time, and try not worry if it won't come.
Always a plus today hubby is cooking a bean and bacon curry.

Set the timer for about a half hour and it stops and by that time I’m usually asleep.Then I relisten the next night to catch up.

I find natural soundscapes helpful, so Radio Lento is my go to, I focus on the sounds and imagery and it’s very rare indeed that I’m not soon asleep. @radiolento.bsky.social
