The rail industry seems to want to reverse rather than improve integration, even where it currently exists. It’s not as if anyone ever checks tickets between Midi & Central anyway! 🤨
Not so long ago a Eurostar ticket to Bruxelles was also available with validity onwards to any ( pre-selected, I think? ) Belgian station, was it not...?
Wondering if you think that this is a result of the Thalys/Eurostar merger? Seems to me that ever since the merger Eurostar from the UK has become ever more expensive and less user friendly - in other words more like the Thalys trains in Europe which you avoided unless you didn't have any choice
