Before Rubio's confirmation, senators and pundits acted as though he was a "sane," "rational," "normal," "moderate" nominee. He's constantly showing himself to be a right-wing extremist.

I have been screaming this. Revoking their visas and then detaining them is essentially an Ex Post Facto law. The student visa is a thing of value that cannot be taken away by the government without Due Process.

Probably not. The State Department's regulations on visa revocation say they should notify the subject "if practicable" but that notification is not required to perfect the revocation. I doubt this State Department is trying very hard to notify people.
