But the real question is: "The Nightmare before Christmas" should be a Halloween or a Christmas film?
Set during the winter. Snow. Lots of Christmas references. Checks a lot of “Christmas film” boxes.
But also, core themes aren’t focused around Christmas. Action typically takes centre stage over festive celebrations. Up to personal opinion of why a Christmas film is.

The ending is legit a feel good Christmas movie ending. The "snow" in LA on early Christmas morning, family reunited, Sgt Al overcoming his fear in one final Christmas miracle, fade to music.

The setting is LA near Christmas but that’s it.
