This was probably the worst food weekend I’ve had in at least a decade. Quite literally no meal went right, at home or out to eat. Someone send me an easy recipe to make tomorrow to get my life back on track, please.

My wife made a cake on Friday. I tasted Saturday morning. She asked how it was. I said I needed to eat it with yogurt, politely evading further comment.
When she tasted, she agreed it didn't come out right. Then said, "I know the four things I did wrong."
Grilled cheese sandwich. Heavy on the butter, heavy on the cheese. If you can add something like pepperoni or marinara sauce you are already ahead of the game. Takes something like five minutes if your butter is soft.
Make chili! It's so easy, it always turns out well, and you can fuck around with it to make it interesting and unique to your palate and sensibilities. I always feel so much more confident in my cooking abilities after making like a week's worth of chili
make sure you use frozen udon; cook the bacon first, then set aside until you mix everything together at the end to keep it crispy; adjust # of yolks/gochujang to your taste.

(one change is add the bean canning liquid in the soup)

She'd made four (!) changes to the recipe.
Super easy and really delicious. My move is always just plating it on top of the arugula so it wilts a little
