Goodreads is owned by Amazon & there is an AMAZING alternative‼️
The StoryGraph is a black women-owned competitor to GoodReads with better UI in my opinion.
When you sign up you can even transfer your data from Goodreads to StoryGraph!

Thanks for making StoryGraph!
Following you, and I hope you'll follow back so I can better amplify your message.
Take care. Stay chill. 💙💙💙
If concerned about ai, I would implore you to look into the use of ai by Amazon. Generative ai in particular.

I loved the app and would happily return if they clarified what their StoryGraph Preview LLM is trained on. They could so easily put authors and readers at ease.
I'd like to know what user data they're training their AI with, but currently all their info about it is vague, and they conspicuously avoid answering questions on the topic.
It's otherwise a great app and I really enjoyed it.

It is GenAI that causes the ridiculous hype, but it would be strange if that would be used here.
Still looking at e-book options.
I started using LibraryThing shortly after it launched:

Now if I could just quit my Audible habit. 😬
Another great alternative for those who prefer a more offline/FOSS app is OpenReads. I've used both and think they are both great in different ways! https://github.com/mateusz-bak/openreads

Do they have reading goals on StoryGraph?

Been slacking at reading but I might pick it up again just to be able to support this app
Thanks for sharing StoryGraph, will take a look.
