Her argument as to why we shouldn’t leave the ECHR is that we need to prepare an alternative, and that if we leavr without a plan, it will be like leaving the EU, an argument which makes no sense whatsoever.

I don't think that's really true. Devolution settlements each refer to the importance of ECHR, including the Good Friday agreement. The EU-UK cooperation agreement also commits both sides to the ECHR. Not to mention the Human Rights Act...
