I know this is a joke but what he's been up to is maintaining and restoring a collection of vintage synths that were made by this one guy. he basically gave up the spotlight and dedicated his time to preserving this massive portion of synth history so it wouldn't be gone forever

The followup single "In Your Light" made a brief run at alt-rock radio that was just successful enough that I once heard it in a Chuy's. It's bouncy, in a sort of "Walkin' On Sunshine" kinda way. I like it.
