Living in a seems-like parody of the world, his talented and trained absurd parody predictions have become actual forecasts of what batshit crazy stuff folks come up with.
In a Monthy-Python-esque world, Cleese and Idle would be the ones to know what's up next.
You need different approaches to different issues. Cynicism is the only attitude that works when dealing with malicious players. For instance, always assume that Russia is lying and up to no good and act accordingly. And the same probably goes for Elon.
It's quite a phenomenon really. The Onion reads like an actual newspaper as well. You have to pinch yourself because you can't tell what's a joke anymore.
This is off-topic, but I’m trying to spread the word. Please flood social media with MLK on Jan 20. No mention of the Inauguration, just MLK all day long. We choose whom to revere. Pass it on.
When parody becomes reality. Then again, when a society is impotent against its government, as ours has become, there is no more pretending America is a beacon of freedom & democracy. As, in its current state, it is neither. If you are deemed to have a voice that's 'of consequence'...watch out.
I don’t want to EVER BE RIGHT. I want to be correct. We need to stop using that word if you’re liberal. I know cannot stop completely but wherever possible use CORRECT NOT RIGHT. R is a toxic word.
Nothing wrong with the word itself. Do you prefer to make three left turns instead of one right one when you actually need to swerve at a 90° angle to the direction that is opposite to your left?
"R is a toxic word" as you qualified it. Anyway, my comment was not personal against you. I've just had enough of activists trying to steer language in whatever direction. The original and far more widespread meaning of "right" is straight, direct. Then came the meaning as opposite to left, then
then came the "correct, true" meaning. The political meaning is much younger than any of them. It would do more justice if you appeal that people stop using right in the political sense.
Furthermore, I don't know how it is where you live, but I am fed up with journalists here in Germany who use only "right" when they actually want to say "far right", e.g. when talking about the neonazis from AfD. Normal right parties are fully legitimate and such linguistic sloppiness is not fair.

There is a slippery slope from healthy skepticism down to irony to cynicism and ultimately to outright nihilism.
In a world where nothing matters, everything is true and yet nothing is true as well. The defeat of values.

Right and wrong are one subject.
Self-righteousness is a totally separate subject.
