aw did not recognize vash in that art style only seen the original as the new one is apprently more faithful to the manga and im not a fan of the direction the manga goes in the end
I remember seeing Komodo Dragons on this horror show on Animal Planet called Lost Tapes. It’s basically like monsters of the caught on camera type of horror show. It had an episode that featured a Megalania which is a prehistoric Komodo Dragon living in the Australian rainforest.

When I was a kid I walked by that statue at the zoo. My mum thought it was real and had escaped. She very seriously told me and my brother to run while she distracted it. She was a good mom.
