also: heteronormativity and racism, as the cis women most affected will be non gender conforming (e.g. butch lesbians) or not meeting the imagined criteria of white femininity (same as how they go after black women athletes all the time)

EVEN if they had "valid concerns" about trans women being a threat to cis women (they don't and they're not), if they had a genuine interest in improving cis women's lives then those "concerns" would still be dead last on the list of priorities, after everything that is a PROVEN threat to cis women

We’ve been through this sort of dynamic a lot here in the US. Whoever the upper class want to get rid of a program that benefits the poor, all they have to do is point out that it benefits black people (at all) and the white people who benefit more from it will vote to tear it apart.
