Perfect, any early morning commitment for the following day. "Sounds like a great time, however I must get up early for work tomorrow." Great advice, BlueMorphoProject
Agree, but the parties when we’re older are as dull as dog shit. Bored shitless listening to some wanker go on about negative gearing …
When we were young, we didn’t give a flying fuck as the only thing on the menu was a good time.
Hi Heather! I estimate 95+% of responses feel the same about their desire to stay in. You are in excellent company. Enjoy a wonderful and relaxing evening!😁✌🏻
Not so. My parents encouraged me to go to parties, and I never wanted to go. Now, my wife and I are waiting for our youngest to head off to college so we can be irresponsible, party, do drugs, and spend the last thirty years or so of our lives sucking the marrow out of life. Apologies to HDT.
Agree. Bill. Now, my other hope, a safe place for every nice person, the earth and its creatures. The bad guys can have their hellhole of misery. I think I took this a little too far. Yours was a funny observation. Thank you.
Actually, when we're old, we stay home and don't even remotely consider the idea of going to said party. Sure, we could go and get wasted while listening to loud music... or we could go to bed at a nice hour and watch a bit of TV or read a book in our comfy beds...
I had one serious hangover when I was 19 and that was enough for me. I'll have the occasional drink with the wife, but going to a party and getting plastered? Nah, we like to be in bed nice and early like responsible old people 🤣
See, I remember my wife and I went to a theme park with our college class to celebrate our first-year graduation back in 2012. We decided to get hammered the night before. We were two dumb teens and we didn't think twice. The next day was hell. 31 year old me cringes at the thought of it...
Good array of choices, I should have specified, this is a work event. I’ll put in an appearance and be social, but then home I go.
Hope your day is a good one!
Other than an annual holiday office luncheon at a restaurant, I don't think I ever have been invited to a party, and I likely would have sent my regrets.
Some friends went to posh party in London, hated it, crept into garden to wait it out until a reasonable time to leave. When they went to go back in they found the terrace doors locked and the garden like a gulag. They had to wake the hosts up to get out. Awks!
Absolutely. And when we’re young, being told “you’re not invited to my party.” would be upsetting, and imply social exclusion. Adults try to come up with excuses not to go.
I am there with you, Rudbeckia. I don't believe I ever snuck out to a party, as I was 'invisible' in HS. Also, I was not a comfortable party mixer. Home Sweet Home, dining out, or an occasional concert are perfect. Cheers👍🏻
Hmm, I see! Malcolm Butler flashbacks or Pete Carroll call nightmares😀. I am glad you followed, as my how the tables have turned. Enjoy a terrific day, Canadian911Guy
Ah when you're young, it's a mystical thing you hear about how awesome it is, then when you are older and the rules no longer apply to you, the reality sets in and you realize you overhyped it.
Good morning, 💫Elena💫, my shining star! Parties-> Ugh, I start winding down at 7:30 PM, so unless it's a breakfast or luncheon party...🤔oh wait, I don't do those either!😂 Enjoy a lovely day, my friend☀️🥶16°🫶🏻✌🏻
Hola Bravo. I’m a real party animal.
That’s hysterical. As do I. 😂. I’m tucked in by 9:00. The new 12:00 AM. Now that I think about it. Last time I went to a party that wasn’t affiliated with Women’s Cancer Asso was forever ago. Been there done that. I love it.

Deal with the aftermath the next day, when all the "Where did you disappear to last night?" questions start being asked. 😆

So true
Step 2. See Step 1. and repeat
Hope your day is a good one!
PS: I literally just got back to my hotel having snuck out of a party.
I've also been known to party at home to avoid going out.
U got that right!
Merry Christmas, Bill!
