It's not hard is it really.
Plus presumably if you're coming here from Italy to work you may not worry about bringing your family as you can go home easily and regularly, whereas if you come for 3 years from India you want them with you, so we'd have less mon work visas for the bigots to worry about
Unfortunately the Brexity Labour Party doesn't care. Starmer will continue to make noises about "reset with the EU" while doing nothing to improve the situation.
Much of the criticism Labour has faced from its supporters over the last few months would evaporate like morning mist in the sun if they were to accept the path forward included a long term plan to ditch Brexit.
"Well, we figured out that everything could be fixed if we just press the big red 'Fix Everything' button, but unfortunately we promised never to press it because sorry I think I left the stove on bye."
At this point, Starmer seems to be basing his economic policy on the opinions of Twitter bots from 2019.
Everyone - Farage included - knows Britain would be better off back in the SM/CU. All this play-acting to placate extremists is wasting valuable time.
"Labour has repeatedly promised an "ambitious reset" of EU-UK relations."
This is ludicrous. I wish he'd tell everyone what this ambitious reset actually means because I don't know and I don't think he does either. It's all bloody waffle.
Whilst Labour remain terrified of England's unhinged right wing media and extreme populist politicians are given huge amounts of media exposure it won't matter what the same majority want, particularly now that the billionaires ruining the US have also turned their attention to the UK.
You'd have thought that pussyfooting with the likes of Murdoch and Rothermere would have taught Labour that no matter how much they hope for decent behaviour from extreme right wing millionaires and billionaires the only sure option is regulation, these foul people won't regulate themselves.
It only makes sense if they are also face eating leopards, of the lesser variety. It's almost like it's a capitalist patriarchal stitch up masquerading as "democracy"🤨🤬
It's perplexing because it's so opaque. That's what is setting alarm bells ringing. None of it seems to make sense. Is there something he isn't telling us? Has his intended plan gone awry because of the strength of unity between what the EU are seeking and public opinion?
I wish Starmer & Co would stop running scared of the racist minority in the country and do what's needed to help the rest of us...
That would be to start negotiating #RejoinEU
A pity the dictator Starmer thinks he knows best. After four more years of unnecessary austerity and rampant big corp corruption and profiteering, he'll still be claiming its all the fault of the Tories who's policies he is still implementing. Time for radical change.
It’s about time that the British government started to take responsibility for the way they were tricked into leaving the EU: they should ask themselves who really funded the Brexit campaign?

That is tearing a hole in their popularity as they campaigned on a message of change.
How does a continuity govt, achieve change that way?
