Great series, just starting to read the books. I missed him on Children in Need but looked like he was reading the CBBC Bedtime story as Jackson Lamb!!
Have to catch that show...heard it was really good! Heather, we're mutuals on Twitter & just followed ur acct here. Would love a follow-back when u get a chance, thx!🦋💙
One of the best shows of this decade but suffers from being on Apple TV. Bad sisters is the same brilliant programme but so many people have never seen it
I'm trying to work my way through the first several novels before watching the series. But I picture Oldman's character in my head already based on the pics I've seen.
Bad plan. Always watch first, then read. If you read first, you'll find half your favourite stuff has been cut or screwed up. Watch first, and the book is an expanded universe of extra treasures
Oldman is the MVP no doubt, but can we also get some love for Kristen Scott Thomas and Jonathan Pryce? Also I've forgotten her name but the actor who plays Standish is hugely underrated, as this very sentence proves
I definitely want to see it. I've read a couple of the books and didn't know about the show..Then a co-worker mentioned the show and I was like.. "that sounds so familiar" and had to go find the "Slough House" books to figure out what it was.
I generally like spy/spec-ops thrillers. Gotta watch it.
I went to a screening event for season 2, Gary Oldman was there and worked around the room to chat to everyone and was lovely…and to top it off they served a curry buffet to the guests. Perfection. If i didn’t already think the show was great, that would have sealed me as a fan 😂
It’s the best show ever. And I live near to where a lot of it is filmed. Every time I’m near the Barbican I joke that I’m just popping into Slough House.
i was oversimplifying but yeah that is the best scene :)
it's fun to see the Slow Horses be incompetent but it makes the moments where they succeed and get respect feel all the more cathartic
Btw, I've started to read the books too and I'm really enjoying them. It's interesting to see how they're adapted for the series. A lot of condensing, obviously.
Gary Oldman shows he can play any role in any situation in any movie with this show. I crack up every time I see or hear the title of the show, "Slow Horses", knowing what it means
The irony of Apple being known for ages as a company that was able to market ordinary products into extraordinary ones, only for them to end up producing extraordinary shows that they fail to sell anyone on.

I couldn’t even identify Gary Oldman at first! I thought he really transformed for this role.
Also, I am so happy to find you here. Getting ready to read Counting Descent in my English class, again, this year. #edusky
I never re-watch but am rewatching every season right now.

The hair oil is glycerin, for example.
SPOILER:
River Cartwright ends up drinking at a bar with Jackson Lamb in the last shot of the last episode of Season IV.
That's because Cartwright has earned Lamb's respect.

Sometimes you get sent there because someone important has a grudge against you.
