Please no, just because they were harassed does not mean they were a good person. They doxxed someone for running a women's game jam, claiming it was "sexist". Then set up her own game jam, took a bunch of money from people to support it, then ran with it.
Yeah, that announcement didn't get a lot of publicity since it really hurts the prevailing narrative about "going after women in the games industry" in what mainstream coverage the whole thing ever gets.
Nah, Nixon, Thatcher, and the other neoliberals who demolished the post war consensus did it. Their successors just poured gas into the fires of bigotry as a vehicle for their short sighted economic policy that rewards buffoons and punishes dissent
God. Now I'm pissed off. Because this puts it all into perspective. I feel constantly like my life could be in danger at any moment now because some gormless, tactless, senseless, stupid fucks got upset at someone making art. Whatever man. I'm so fucking done. I feel great. Never better.
The issue with the journalistic review process of people close to the author of a game kicked off with the Steam/GoG release. So the picture would make more sense if you use "Steam game" instead because there was nothing happening before that (beyond Maker/GameJam thing).
That game was beyond depressing, but i was living it at the time i played, so i had to put it down after < 10 minutes.
The game itself was *fine*, the bullshit was everything around it. These days, i don't even care anymore - focus on today's issues, let old arguments rest.
History has been so "heavy on events" this past few (waving like crazy at the world) years, that it escaped my mind. Thank you for the reminder. It seems we need about a hundred of them daily. Not that it will change the mind of the ostriches...

Maybe a library, too.
"We fighting for you!"
No, you aren't. You're fighting for your right to be a bitter asshole when you could just ignore stuff and go back to what you're doing.
Not force it on the rest of us.
