i love when a guy on okcupid is like "wow, 80% match! we only disagree on whether women are furniture and on which minorities it should be legal to hunt!"

I hate online dating, but at least as a straight male the worst I have to deal with usually is matches who are just looking for a guy to immediately wife them up and get them pregnant.
Certainly where I live it is. Not quite as common as the aspiring sugar babies, but as I'm not trying to date women in their early twenties anymore I didn't see as many of them these days. Women in their 30s desperate to get a husband and a baby, though?
I mean, it's not the majority at all, but there are lots of women who do just genuinely want a kid. It just gets creepy and kind of gross when it becomes Your Whole Thing.
I met my wife there. Love of my life, met later in life. We weren't in love at first sight, but we realized later we fell in love on that first date. 10 years later, h/t to OK Cupid.
I remember when people were all up in arms and demanding they remove the question that basically asked whether you believe in eugenics and I was like “no, please, do you have any idea how many eugenicist tech bros I have dodged thanks to that”
I tried OkCupid several years ago and nobody was using it in my area. My preferences were set to woman, 18-40yrs old, who were seeking a relationship with a man, and the app said I was being too picky 😂
There used to be a community of shit posters on the OkCupid subreddit. I think about those weirdos more than I like to admit. There was the mammoth melon fetishist, a few fiery swingers, the honest mountaineer, this one radlib, some older divorcees, a cute baker, a Russian polyglot. People graduate.
