Across the southern US at any time of the year seems like a trip with its own potential, but having taken the Greyhound from Toronto to Vancouver and back again in early spring (a route that doesn't exist anymore), coming from the northeast has all kinds of caveats/psychic damage potential en route
...and unfortunately getting to and from the US without a personal vehicle is its own volley of headaches as there are no efficient or relatively cost/time-effective rail or bus lines that make a trip to the west coast a reasonable journey for people less inclined to fly 😔
Actually I take that back-- Greyhound still operates, but it largely outsources it's connections to other smaller regional providers, which makes lengthy trips even more potentially complicated 😣
I've taken plenty of those buses and I gotta say that exactly zero times has it been pleasant. I'd sooner a train even though in this country they only go to like five cities.
Sorry to doom-reply but I wish I had a better suggestion than turn off FaceID/fingerprint unlock on your phone if you have it. And don’t unlock your phone even to look at it yourself. When I was denied entry they grabbed my phone when I showed them a hotel booking email or something
Pretty sure I'm not flying anywhere for a long time. That's two plane crashes in as many days. The skies are unsafe with this incompetent administration.
