If these tariffs stick, it’s going to be ugly for Amazon , but incredible for all the American sellers

Were you being sarcastic?
Take advantage of your oppertunity and replicate it in the south - lets talk

There is no domestic supply chain for any of the passive components used in consumer electronics.
Chobani yogurt and turnovers.
Food and toiletries are now more than our mortgage. At Walmart! Rural, all I have.
Lots of Walmart haters will now have no choice due to their lower prices.
Would ease tensions.
Chinese goods are Giffen goods.
Perhaps you haven't noticed that over the course of time the market has driven global expansion in every way BECAUSE WE DONT WANT TO BE LIMITED TO JUST OUR BOUNDARIES.
But no, let's shrink our options down while the world goes on without us.
As in linen (flax) is produced, processed and woven here?
.....irrespective of source country
If a recession hits, everyone gets a haircut. Just some get a shave and others get a crew cut.
If you can't do this, then why should we believe it?

For example if an American made product is $50 and the Chinese one is $25 the cost disparity is $25. (pre-tariff)
Let's say 75% of the American one is subject to the tariff. The new cost is $59.38. The Chinese one will be $31.25, a $28.13 cost disparity, post-tariff.

For end consumer goods $5 can be the difference between a sale or not getting a sale.

Check my logic please:
Say a tariff causes a seller’s competitors’ price to go up $50 on a product.
Wouldn’t that seller will then be able to raise their product to $45, to both beat the competition & grab more profit?
So basically, consumers will pay more no matter whom they buy from.
Incredible for all the American sellers?
Then why have tariffs NEVER worked like that in the past? Corporations are not going to lower prices, even if the tariffs go away. How does that help *American sellers*? We have less manufacturing now than 10 years ago, his first term we lost 300K+ jobs.
Suppliers aren't even in the U.S. for most component products, so those prices will increase and never come back down, because we won't be able to afford to build new manufacturing plants anymore either with an unstable market, and an economy through the floor.
Not seeing the incredible.
Small businesses will go out of business AGAIN. Meaning corporations steal MORE of a market share for a lot less effort and still raise prices.
This is not helping *American sellers*, because they are ALSO *American consumers*, which means they get f@cked in both ends.
It's not incredible.
😐😒
I can't believe this stuff has to be explained to a billionaire.
As far as American “sellers” go we are buying from American companies but they get many product inputs from China. It’s all being passed on to the customer. Spouse works in the newspaper industry. The paper comes from 🇨🇦
Because trust me Trump wants to sell those, he owns 80% of them
Spending $750 to me is like Mr Cuban spending $10 million. They never have enough.
Wealth beyond a certain critical mass is a mental illness.
How long before these products go straight from the country of origin to Canada? Wait, Wont that hurt jobs in the US?

"But the American sellers...."You mean another rich asshole will make money while veterans die, the poor suffer, and America turns to fascism.

They're dumb...
But also calculated.
Don't forget that most of the American sellers get their supplies from China. So, the American sellers will also have to raise their prices. Also, Amazon will not be the ones hurting. Amazon makes its money from its marketplace platform
Bezos must be pissed. He licked Trump ass for better than this.
Buy local…even online purchases
Coffee alone being further jacked up in price is a problem for a LOT of people.
I see people with $800 car payments. So maybe that's not a smart idea. Pay cash for a car. Or buy used.
Amazon could make more due to inflation. Fees are based on sales price.
Amzn has a truck down my street daily. I like this stock here
You're a smart goy, Mark, but sometimes you say very un-smart things.
I do try to buy American built. A mid-low end Roof Top tent hard shell you can get for $970 through Chinese companies. Add a 45% tariff and its $1455 delivered in 7 days. Cheapest all American RTT same quality is $1899 and 4 weeks.
And in many cases there’s little to no domestic production and it will take a year to three to actually set up plants to make anything.
The US is looking down the double barrel like it’s a heroin addicted rock star
A reckoning is coming for him.
I buy everything at Amazon!!!
Impeach Impeach Impeach!
Or can he be fired?
Fire him now!
Who does that?
Oh wait!
I know…
A lunatic that has a brain drip!!
Impeach this guy for lying on his promises on the Campaign trail and for charging a ridiculous amount in tariffs!!!
Americans won’t be able to afford to live!
#TaxCuts
What sellers are going to win long term, Mark?
If tariffs hold, companies will slow down or implode and individuals will lose jobs. Not sure that’s going help “American sellers” so much…
