Yea... it is amazing to be able to take night time pictures with a cell. This one does not include the Comet.. but it did catch a plane at the very top and notice how clear the pine tree comes in.

Yeah I got it last week at New Scientist Live having given it a year of thought... I'm absolutely loving it! It's so capable and gives me exactly what I want right now. I'm currently shooting NGC6888 my first proper attempt at a nebula😀

Good choice. Cygnus is chock full of nebulae. Hard to image anything there without getting a nebula in the picture, frankly LOL The Seestar does well with globs and open clusters too - open clusters only need about 15 minutes for some cracking results

I'm pretty excited at the amount of the sky that it has opened up for me, given my other telescope is a 90mm refractor, this opens up a lot of new options for me. But I can still use my refractor for solar system objects. I'm up to 39 minutes on the nebula now but the Moon is just rising...

And yes... I own a 6" Orion XT Dob and it's barely seen the night sky because of light pollution. Sold my Celestron 130SLT Nexstar to buy the Seestar - again, it rarely saw the stars anymore. This has given me back my stars

Here's my effort - 35 minutes under Bortle 8. Minor post processing in Google Photos. I don't have the time/money/patience to go headlong into the complexities of post processing otherwise LOL (I also want to write a book showcasing targets that give great results with little effort for beginners)

There are only 2 choices in the range. The S50 (that's what I have) and the S30 which is coming out soon. The S50 is a brilliant bit of kit and I'm still getting to know it!
