is this finally my calling to quit media and become a home ec teacher to two generations of grown ass adults who can’t sew on a button or grow a tomato

My mom has already told me she plans to go back to full gardening and canning this year and just grow everything she eats except for grains. (We made matzah from scratch one year for passover and I told her I was not coming home to process the wheat if she tried it again.)
ok so let them know that i have no money or assets to help purchase the commune but i can turn on a manson like charisma to recruit new dues paying members
my writing prompt in ELA on monday was "what is an improvement you think schools need to make to prepare students for life after high school?" and i went OFF about how i think we're failing children by getting rid of home ec and drivers training and expecting parents or private lessons to handle it
Recently my pops repaired a small ripped seam in my fave joggers. Mentioned I finding YT video or taking them somewhere. He demanded that I bring them to him and he'd show me. Feel weirdly proud that it's my pops, and not my mom that has those domestic skills.
For context, my granddad opened one of the first Western tailor shops in Seoul, and dad is retired OB anesthesiologist w skillful hands. My mom grew up in a fancy academic's family and a forced left to right handed convert, so her sewing skills are crap.
