CNN interviewed more than a dozen experts, and they said that no fire hydrants would have been able to stop the LA wildfires with the high winds. “I don’t know a water system in the world that is that prepared for this type of event,” said one expert.

I know what President-elect-ass started it.
🚬😎
Why does the country not have a sprawling set of tools of all kinds to combat this level of destruction?
Interview the experts, not the outrage farmers.

first of all it’s not true, but even if it was, no amount of money on Earth could have made those water planes be able to fly in 95mph winds.
You would need a sprinkler system a few square Kilometers over the complete area.
As much as we try, humans will never beat natures fury, once unleashed.
I'd imagine Trump asked if he nuked it...
I live in N. CO. It seems we have huge fires every year. Either big grass fires to the east and huge 100k+ acres along the foothills and mtns. It is just a matter of time until our suburb gets hit like Louisville.
yes, socal has santa ana winds and fires almost every year, but never before combined with 100mph+ hurricane level winds.
is it too late for me to say “damn autocorrect!”
Gavin Newsom smiling at the prospect of external investors buying up land which is still smoking in LA.
He even took advice from the One Governor of Hawaii where this has already happened.
These people literally know no shame.
MELTED.
Where the hell have USians been the last decade?
Politicizing a natural disaster is stupefying.
The fire is still flipping going. Plenty of time for cnn to form a panel and blame someone or something.

1. Nobody resigned after J6.
2. Will he demand God or Mother Nature turn in their resignations?
Probably Mother Nature. They don't like women.
Global warming
If you have a 12" main feeding a neighborhood, how many 3" fire lines can you open on that feed?
Most residential feeds are 6 to 8" lines unless it's an industrial area.
Older neighborhoods will not have 12" mains.
It's not rocket science!

Genuine, kind, decent, people will help-they always do.
In total, US military aid to Israel from Oct 7th 2023 to Oct 7th 2024 has been $17.9billion.
Just curious, how do you explain there being no water in the fire hydrants?
Also in Altadena, their Reservoirs are fueled by electricity which was cut off due to the fire.
What does the guy who doesn't know how water gets to his kitchen faucet think? I bet he has thoughts.
You mean Orangey McPedo-Shitler was engaging in agitprop ranting and casting aspersions while having ZERO understanding of the subject matter or anything related to it?
I mean,.. what were the odds?
One in like,.. I dunno,.. ONE maybe?
The fire chief said the real problem is that they don't have enough firefighters to handle emergencies like this.
Id never heard them inject politics before.
We are in new fucking territory.
"still the region could have been better prepared." ?
Would it have been a real match if they were prepared?
That’s like expecting a screen door to protect you from a meteor strike.
Or Trump dropping a nuke in a hurricane.
That might be impossible.
I know people are hurting terribly, but like you, we all must remain compassionate in the face of this terrible tragedy (rather than scapegoating).🙏🫂
You build houses that are hard to light. Metal roofs, for example. You put batteries in each house and some sort of stored water, whether a swimming pool or just an underground tank with a pump. You remove combustibles before fire starts.
Can be done!
The narrative because the media keeps fake news and conspiracy theories elevated. State the facts and move on to what's happening with the people and not the alternative "facts".
We need real accountability.
There will be checks and balances whether it be by legislation or "other means". We just need to keep our elected officials accountable.

Geez, didn't these bozos ever play Sim City? 😉
Now we must make circular systems norm.

I've been dumbfounded by the amount of people who thought a fire hydrant was capable of putting out a city block, let alone a full scale wildfire.
Category 1 Hurricane is 74 - 95 mpg
Category 2 Hurricane is 96 - 100 mpg
F1 Moderate tornado 73-112 mph
The winds alone would have posed safety and property damage risks.
For God’s sake , California needs help, solace and support.
How in the hell can anyone be prepared for the magnitude of that which has never occurred before?
Once the public clears its collective head, heads, indeed, will roll.
Thankfully, most fires happen way out in the forests. Our forests actually need fire to regenerate and for seeds to mature.
That's why the place has always been so flammable.
