One of Kiss’s biggest first hits was Cold Gin. Idolizing a drink? That set the tone of pretty much all of the debauchery that would follow from all 4 of them. They certainly didn’t disappoint.
I've only read Paul's and it was absolutely fantastic in knowing it's a book from someone with zero self awareness. Literally everyone but him is a c**t it felt. Like 'I, Partridge' with more hairspray and a gammy ear.
You hear that he had the sound techs working on And Justice for All turn the bass track down until you could barely hear it? Just to fuck with the “new guy,” on the album commemorating Cliff Burton’s passing?
my favorite part of Paul Stanley's is that he mostly lays off Gene until the end of the book, when he's getting married and suddenly is like "I did NOT invite Gene to my wedding and he knew DAMN WELL why - because he did NOT respect the institution of marriage"
When I was in undergrad, I took a class that analyzed the four gospels as literature - the textbook laid out any given story that appears in multiple gospels with each version side by side, to allow us to contextualize differences.
I was thinking similar. Took a class that used the NIV which had lots of footnotes and alternate translations. Heard the NRSVue is the latest revision in that direction.
Plus all the biblical names involved makes me think of this as reading in the Bill & Ted universe :V
My absolute favorite part of Paul's is his story about writing Love Gun in his head, sitting on a plane. To Paul, it's a story of his songwriting prowess, to us it's an admission of how much time he spends thinking of metaphors for his dick.
It’s funny. While the Destroyer album is easily one of Kiss’s most impressive productions, musically it’s at odds with what Kiss is, with its syrupy strings, melodramatic phrasing and overblown orchestration.

Thought yall'd like a good Rashomon joke
Thank you everyone.
Gene: I had sex with 3182 hot skanks.
Peter: i DID NOT live under a bridge, it was technically an overpass!
Ace: This is the Zodiac speaking
Would read a version of that, for KISS
