All of this logic: primary them, you just give the seat to a Republican is false! We are NOT in normal times. By then, who knows what will have happened? People are angry and scared. By 2026, how angry are voters bound to be? Medicare, SS, Medicaid, Veterans benefits. They’ll vote for a fighter.
And that is fine. Too much of the Democratic party's policy is "appeasement to get elected and then vote against party interests" anyway at this point. Most of them now are just Eisenhower Republicans.
For putting their own interests over that of their constituents - many of whom have bled for this country - they will go to hell right beside Benedict, Brutus, other faithless cowards.
Likely they’ll have a personal hell to enjoy before they shuffle on to the afterlife.
Appeasement? If it’s not in the interest of electorate does it matter? No one will care in the end the ‘why’ - only what they did. Defend the Constitution or get in bed with foreign billionaires and dictators. This goes for both parties’ members who are complicit in the trampling of America.
I think we've had enough of the GOP in power. Every single one of them ends up sucking up to the idiot-in-chief, no matter how "NeverTrumper" they supposedly were before the election.

It should be mentioned as well that Al Green (since this is a decision about him) was understandably the other Present. The 11 other names are the ones of concern here.

Ami Bera, who just took the oath of office in January, voted to censure Rep Green. Why guess who is getting a call today! Ami Bera’s phone number is 202-225-5716. Light up his phone line.
Only constituents should call!
Representatives literally don’t care if you are not living in their district.
That’s why you need to state your name and zipcode when you call your Reps and Senators.
I messaged mine but I hate when people say to primary my blue dog who is on the equality caucus… and wonder what my motive is for support… cause my district voted for Trump and having a pro lgbt rep is best we got…

Called and said we're going to vote against Bera, and that out-of-staters like me will fund his opponent. The aide did not confirm Bera's vote but didn't deny it, and asked for comment.
I heartily recommend giving a call. The line wasn't busy.
Ami Bera has a long history of being a tool for hire for any highest bidder, including foreign governments. He is an absolute opportunist, a totally self-serving, moralless person.
yet another instance where the dems elect an utter tool
bc they are so fkn self absorbed and in on the grift that they have functionally done zero work building a good bench of candidates...
looking at you Nancy 👀
He was one of the Judas Dems, who voted with most of the House Republicans in the effort to undercut enforcement of the Americans with Disabilities Act, in the previous Trump term. The Senate saved us that time around.
Tried to call, but mailbox is full. Good job giving out his phone number. Thank you! Really appreciate your taking action. This is how we need to stick together. * Maybe those who got the “mailbox is full”recording, can remember to call back soon to keep the mailbox full.
I live in his district, not far from his district office. Bera has had progressive challengers the past few elections, but they have had ZERO name recognition and Bera has done the minimum to get re-elected in a formerly purple (now relatively safe D) seat.
So primary challengers for: Bera, Case, Costa, Gillen, Himes, Houlahan, Kaptur, Moskowitz, Perez, & Suozzi. And Figures, who voted present (the other present vote was Green himself).

It's really odd for folks to get spun up on votes that literally don't matter.
"Be the change you wish to see in the world."
Rep Green was absolutely right to call out a truth.
But so too were Reps trying to support normal order.
Eye on the ball. Need all Dems.
you primary her from the left, you will replace her with a Republican
so not at all smart
this one represents a Trump district
primary her from the left, you will just elect a Republican
geez
but , sincerely, good luck to you

It's all about getting reelected.
I registered as an Independent, but as far as I'm concerned, the Republicans should be on Time Out for now.

Calls from people who are not in their district are basically thrown out.
10,000 calls from outside the district is hard to ignore.
