You can judge them all for picking a car in beta testing that does things like not have mechanical doors that malfunction and trap people inside all the time.
To be fair all our corporate overlords are evil, bezos and Walmart have been looting America for a while and target blamed a made up crime waive for its poor performance knowing any roll back of justice reforms would mostly hurt minorities but yes fuck musk and Tesla
They got big mostly by opening in small towns, undercutting all the local stores and then jacking prices back up once their competition was out of business
And then, because they used to not advertise in newspapers, the local papers ad revenue dried up and they went under too
She was pregnant and then she started bleeding heavily, that’s ER territory. I didn’t know her very well, and didn’t like her, but no one deserves that.
This. Essentially they're subsidized by the government benefits keeping their workers alive. I always say the Walmart logo does not depict a stylized flower, but an asshole.
At least they own it. I was on that Seattle Reddit post where a guy claimed he kept covering his neighbor’s Tesla with cheeee slices, and mentioned that Tesla owners are very thin skinned about people remind them they own a nazicar.
Within half a day, I had a half dozen people DMing me about how tone deaf my comments were.
Me: “Oh, did you buy your Nazicar between 2014-2023? You should have already known he was a union buster, abusive scum bag by them. And if it’s been 10 years? It’s a life choice.”
I never used Twitter, really. Elon came up sometimes as like this Iron Man Tony Stark type, but I didn't pay much attention. I had no idea who he was and don't typically research CEOs of companies. Didn't even find out about the diver thing until the pandemic
Now Elon has inserted himself into everyday life so he's inescapable. But for me as someone who didn't use Twitter, I didn't even think about Elon Musk until he bought Twitter and made it everyone else's problem.
I think "expecting everyone to be terminally online" is a little unfair of an ask
Actually that’s funny to me, because I have stopped eating in at least one establishment local to me, because I found out that its owner had very racist and misogynistic opinions.
I guess I might not have know if I never read my local newspaper. Or looked at Yelp reviews. So hard!
Not everyone reads their local newspaper - nor should they be expected to when they're just living their life.
Do you own an Android or Apple phone? Did you research the politics of the CEOs for those companies before buying?
Moreover - do you expect everyone else to do the same? Where does it end?
I feel like those stickers can only really be done on Teslas, like that was a big investment for a person a few years back when it wasn't clear how much Elon was involved (a la space x) but anyone buying a Tesla today, or god forbid, Cybertruck, they knew what they were supporting
He sued the BBC before all of that for an honestly very fair review of their very experimental first Lotus-based Roadster on Top Gear. They said it was fast, impressive technology, but not really ready for normal use, and not reliable. So, the truth, but it hurt Musk's feewings. Tesla/Musk lost.
Nah I remember all that and top gear was completely in the wrong, they went to ridiculous lengths to trash the car because they hated electric cars for typical right wing idiot reasons. Most people didn’t even know who Elon Musk was back then.

But the cave diver slander was scary.
It wasn't until when Elon went mask-off during the pandemic that I really found out about it.
And yeah, for sure scary
They are just badly designed cars.
Hey, Jobs was an asshole, too.
And then, because they used to not advertise in newspapers, the local papers ad revenue dried up and they went under too
Then they underpay and overwork staff.
It's been proven they cause poverty everywhere they go.

I went to a spaghetti place yesterday and have no clue what their CEO's politics are or their thoughts on unions.
I couldn't tell you what the CEO of Ford looks like/thinks of unions

Look, I get that most people weren’t paying attention. But “I wasn’t paying attention” is never a good excuse in life (I should know, I have ADHD).
Oftentimes, not paying attention has consequences.
