Wait really? Not that I don’t believe you - just never heard of this before (possibly because I’m on BlueSky…) Do you have links to research/reporting on its censorship?

Hey, at least we’ll be there together ✊ Nah, but seriously. A minister friend shared this quote with me after Rumeysa Ozturk’s kidnapping. I’ve been getting a lot of comfort from it: “Under a government which imprisons any unjustly, the true place for a just [citizen] is also a prison”

Thank you @harvard.edu! @bostonu.bsky.social, can you do the same please? The resource guide you sent to us students the other day really did not inspire confidence…

Any thoughts on @cryptpad.org ?

Currently just the base un-activated one Do you think that would make much of a difference? I’m familiar with networking - but still VERY new to cellular/RF stuff. Curious to hear your thoughts I suppose maybe a lack of traffic might cause rather paranoid stingrays to dump the Rayhunter… 🤔🤷‍♂️

Spent some time with #Wireshark - comparing captured traffic to baselines and cross-referencing #PCAPs with a friend who’s #Rayhunter was on the other side of the crowd Happy to report that we’ve found no evidence of #Stingray #IMSIcatcher devices (yet)

Does Boston University support our #FirstAmendment rights? Our right to protest and to speak freely? The “Protesting and social media” section of this guide implies that I, as a BU student, should not post on social media or attend protests

Wait. Your KID showed you this?! You must be so proud

FYI I found NO signs of #Stingray #IMSICatcher surveillance devices today at #HandsOffBoston 🚫🛜🕵️ CC @mass50501.bsky.social @maindivisible.bsky.social Will double-check by comparing network logs to baseline metrics (stay tuned), but I don’t see evidence of #CellularSpying on Boston protestors today

Wait. This ‘Fast Flux thing is JUST another term for DGA? (Domain Generating Algorithm). Yeah that stuff’s been around for years… decades, really

Used #Rayhunter to scan #BostonCommons (site of this Saturday’s #HandsOffMassachusetts protest) Confirmed - as a BASELINE - that there are NO #stingray devices already in the area 🚫🕵️ We’ll see if any such #CellularSurveillance pops-up on April 5th. Will be sure to share #PCAPs if so

#Rayhunter is a lightweight IMSI-catcher/monitoring tool which runs on an Orbic mobile hotspot The tool was developed by #WillGreenberg and @cooperq.com of @eff.org Thanks to @foxinsocks5.bsky.social for teaching me about this cool tech! 🧙‍♂️🔭🥸📶

Also I’m sorry - but WHO CALLS SOC WORK SEXY?! Like… me and the rest of @blueteamvillage.bsky.social do - but that’s it 😂

Great advice! Some of my most meaningful roles came from more-general tech jobs that I had - and then I just started offering to help them with security problems

Does @eff.org have any more awesome printout gems like this? I handed out 70+ copies of the Border Search Pocket Guide at the #StandWithRumeysaOzturk (kidnapped Tufts PhD student) rally. Attendees were SUPER thankful for the security advice 🙏

MORE filament is generally my answer Specifically, I’ve been lately been enjoying ‘silk’ silver/gold filaments (which look like shiny metal when printed) and glow-in-the-dark filaments. Curious to see what responses you get though
