Musk sucking Trump's toes in US government buildings near you. Seems impossible to post it on X so here it is on BlueSky.

Gotta be the funniest espionage ever. Trump sucks Musk's toes on TV's in US government buildings

This morning at Dept of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) HQ in DC as mandatory return to office began, this video played on loop for ~5 mins on screens throughout the building, per agency source. Building staff couldn’t figure out how to turn it off so sent people to every floor to unplug TVs.

The downing of flight MH17 in 2014 inspired a movement of online researchers to search for answers... Now, you can see how the Bellingcat team helped uncover those answers in a new three-part documentary series on National Geographic.

Across Gaza: 111,500 people are injured 25,000 children have been wounded 12,500 cancer patients risk death 1,000,000 children require immediate mental health support But this is a war on Hamas, right?

70k signatures to rejoin the EU. Big petition, timely too - polling shows the public is in favour. Let’s get it to 100k and push Labour to debate rejoining. It’s the glaringly obvious solution our economic problems and the rise of the far right. Please repost. petition.parliament.uk/petitions/70...

🔴 How Right-Wing Media Spread the False Claim That One in Twelve Londoners Are ‘Illegal Migrants’ There is a deliberate attempt to mislead the public, in order to push for Trump-style mass deportations. Well worth reading this piece by @zoejardiniere.bsky.social bylinetimes.com/2025/01/30/h...

Fighting for my life to get a full sentence out with Nick Ferrari on LBC just now. We have to be realistic about safe routes: It’s a small number of people trying to come here & we desperately need people, too. youtube.com/shorts/M1OVO...

Pathetically inadequate response from DEFRA / UK Westminster Govt to our petition to ban driven grouse shooting. Ignores all the evidence & will embolden The Untouchables. Our campaign will now intensify over coming weeks... #RaptorResearch #WildlifeCrime raptorpersecutionuk.org/2025/01/19/p...

Today is an object lesson in the radicalisation of the British right-wing press. Britain is being disparaged and insulted by a foreign far-right conspiracy theorist. But the Mail, the Express, the Telegraph and even the Times choose focus their criticisism on the British prime minister instead.

Someone must stand up to Musk. He's a dangerous knob.

Modern cars are far too complex. All I want is a car with the simplicity of a Morris Minor that is fast, fun to drive and has a good sound system.

For many, many years, the Icelandic population were against joining the EU. Now that has flipped over, thanks mailing to Putin’s invasion of Ukraine. And their new government has just announced a referendum on EU accession talks. Read more here —> open.substack.com/pub/mikegals...

There are more than 10m children in school in the UK…but, per Times, 3,000 might move to state sector because of VAT rise…so Whitehall is “braced” 😲😲😲 Says a lot about UK media bubble, the way this story is reported. You pay VAT on luxuries. Private schooling is that.

The UK 🇬🇧 can afford to spend £2,000,000 imprisoning decent, peaceful people & keep them away from their families over Christmas. Is that for telling inconvenient truths? Let’s hope @UKLabour gets the Christmas spirit & releases them Now Please! www.theguardian.com/environment/...

Toby Young is a vile human being, a close second to Douglas Murray.

6.3m properties now at risk from flooding in England. 43% higher than the Environment Agency's last report in just 2018. Climate change is hitting harder than expected. UK emissions reduction targets—set up to 14 years ago—aren't fit for purpose. We need to pass the Climate & Nature Bill #CANBill

"One of the great tragedies of mankind is that morality has been hijacked by religion. So now people assume that religion and morality have a necessary connection. But the basis of morality is really very simple and doesn't require religion at all." Arthur C. Clarke

This is such a critically necessary and sensible idea. We should follow the French. 🇫🇷 www.pv-magazine.com/2024/11/18/f...

Last week, the government undertook some of the most wide-reaching policy initiatives we've seen in years. And hardly anyone seems to know a damn thing about it. inews.co.uk/opinion/fina...

Nigel Farage continues to spout his boll**** unchallenged the UK must leave the ECHR If we want to avoid a dangerous chain of events which could one day see Britain joining Russia & Belarus as the only European countries outside the ECHR we need to constantly call him out youtu.be/iSTN-h8NoyY?...

All donations that originate from abroad, no matter who is the final donor, should be banned. Only UK citizens should be allowed to donate to British political organisations

RP if you agree with this. ❤️🇳🇴

Disgusting. A new University of York study has found that sites popular with swimmers around the UK to be suffering from pollution with bacteria and chemicals alongside resistance genes that could limit the effectiveness of modern medicine.

This needs to be taken very seriously. All donations that originate from abroad, no matter who is the final donor, should be banned. Only UK citizens should be allowed to donate to British political organisations

UK exporters suffered a £27 billion drop in goods sales to the EU after Brexit, with smaller firms bearing brunt of new trade barriers. Research from Centre for Economic Performance said Brexit led to a 6.4% drop in 🇬🇧 global exports and a 3.1% decline in imports into 🇬🇧 from rest of the world. 🧵

1. I’m pretty sceptical about representative democracy: broadly speaking, I think it’s a contradiction in terms. But if we are to have such a thing, it should look like the assistant dying bill debate in Parliament yesterday. That debate showed us what we are missing all the rest of the time. 🧵

"We are not a party for the rich" says Farage, a multimillionaire former stockbroker and friend of the world's richest man, as he recieved £1m from the new billionaire chariman of Reform, 4/5 of whose MPs are multimillionaire former stockbrokers and bankers. www.theguardian.com/politics/liv...

Thoughts on m how we solve the housing problem: We need more houses. So we need more builders. So we need more training. But there aren't enough colleges, teachers or students. So we need immigration. So we need to undo Brexit. 1/*

This would amount to a massive tax cut for the highest paid people in Britain, paid for by higher taxes for low earners and big cuts to public services

You can hear the boundless respect & affection Mishal Husain inspires in colleagues in every farewell this morning. A very rare broadcaster. Appalling that she felt compelled to leave the Beeb. Heads should roll!
