Yes but I think there's a difference between government enforcement and citizens taking advantage of other citizens (ie stealing from small businesses). I'm not sure how to properly articulate it, though.

To me, if you want to pay and support, go for it. If not, that's ok. Wait until it's free if you want it bad enough. Nothing good comes from pirating from smaller creators.

Ff modders are still creating a product and those creating completely new 3d assets and the skeletons they work on are not copyright-able either.

Either way, the point of your post was to say it was hypocritical of modders to be mad about piracy, but I disagree. I don't know copyright laws, but they also do differ in each country and there's also "fair use" in a transformative sense too. But legality is another discussion completely.

Comms work the exact same way in this case. By your logic, they also don't own the rights to what they create for comms.

All of the above are in a legal gray area, so its really up to the discretion of those who mod or create mods if they want to ignore the risk. Not sure why comms are better than access to you, when they both serve the same purpose except one can be more exclusive to a singular person

Theyre simply being put into the game with no use of final fantasy assets, it's just manipulation of their own 3d product to work in the engine

There are some mods that are simply ports, but the amount of work that goes into making them function correctly is herculean, hence the charges. Not all mods are good though and are worth paying for, but this doesn't negate the work of others who have refined their craft

This is not entirely true given the sheer amount of newly made 3d models for clothing made by creators like Bizu, Cultist, and Tsar. These are their own assets. Some are a combination of pre-existing 3d models, but many developers (for other games even) reuse some publicly available assets

I support ppl who are actively creating things and selling them. If i don't like the thing they make, I just don't buy it. It's literally that easy, but there's some weird keyboard warriors who want to post nonstop about it, as if u have taken their firstborn child

I think most ppl need to like go to therapy and stop ranting on social media about it for sure. Modding should be a safe space for people to express themselves, but like people can't seem to be normal 😭😭😭

I feel like this is a little off base/oversimplifies the issue lol.
