Why donā€™t you use your vast wealth to do something about this?

Itā€™s sad that I feel like I am so desperate that have to respond to this because you are a billionaire and could influence change. So sad that we have to rely on the ā€œlucky onesā€ who won at capitalism to have any hope.

The timing on these statements? Yes, meant to distract. The threats themselves? I wish I thought it was not an actual threat, but dominating Europe is Pres. Muskā€™s wishes and therefore something I once considered conspiracy is looking more and more possible.

Iā€™m ok with thatā€¦

When your kid comes bearing donuts, itā€™s always best to enjoy the donut and the time well spent without guilt.

This act of violence has resulted in more effective change than anything I have witnessed w/this industry. However you feel about this murder & if it should be condemned or not, this shows the American people it is an effective means of impactful change. Previously that door was always firmly shut.

And now, you have to fight the insurance companies for treatment you deserve, have rightfully paid insurance for and that will make your life worth living.

What happens when coverage is denied? You are already a wounded warrior of our health care system burnt out, mentally traumatized and living in pain. You are at your last straw before treatment even begins.

Then, after experiencing untreated chronic pain, other debilitating symptoms and being gaslit by the medical community for so long, you finally get your diagnosis. Everything is great right?

Hahaha. Right? I followed him on X for years. This one is surprising.

A story all too common.

Exactly! The levels of medical privilege I am seeing on this platform is eye opening. What they donā€™t realize is that chronic pain could happen to them at any time and without warning. Health is never guaranteed. Then, they will change their tune.

What the actual f**k?!

Especially heinous for people who have to work physical jobs to support themselves

How is this surprising to people?

Chronic pain and illness change you im fundamental ways you cannot understand until experiencing it
comment in response to post
People making this a left or right issue are radicilized in their own inability to think anything could exist outside of party division. Chronic pain is universal.

Thanks for saying this! All the ā€œhe can afford thisā€ miss the mark on the full story.

Being diagnosed with an uncurable chronic illness that progresses to disability and pain has taken my mind to depths of despair that terrify me. It changes you in ways you will never understand until you experience it.

Truly disgusting

Without my cost prohibiting medication (think $22,000 plus a month) I would live with chronic nerve pain and it would progress to more disability. To think this treatment could be denied is unbearable. To be denied it to fund a billionaireā€™s limitless greed is criminal.

Yes! Being isolated in your own broken body is mental anguish

The gaslighting I have experienced around this is pervasive

Never back pain, however, I understand chronic progressive illness and nerve pain/disability. It has taken me to depths in my mind that terrify me. My kids keep me going.

Those comments irk me. The cost of my life saving medication is $22,000/month if my insurance is denied. This is beyond whatā€™s tenable, even if they cover 80%. No one should be burdened by these costs to bankroll millionaires & billionaires. Beyond money, it comes down to treatment & quality of life

Chronic pain and illness changes literally everything in your life. To not understand this devastating experience is privilege. I would give anything to live without an uncurable chronic illness. Health insurance ceos and pharmaceutical giants compound peoplesā€™ suffering

This! Yesss!

Itā€™s an experience that so many of us can empathize with because we have actually lived through it. It goes well beyond parties.

Medical gaslighting, especially to those of us with ā€œinvisible diseasesā€ is pervasive
comment in response to post
Yes! Chronic pain is life changing as is the treatment. Mine costs $279,000 a year. My future and quality of life is wholly dependent on my health insurance company deciding to cover my medication. Without, progressive disability is almost guaranteed. My fear of ā€œdelay, deny, deposeā€ is constant.

As someone living with an incurable chronic illness, it affects literally everything in my life.
