Nazi officials did the same after taking power everywhere. Access tax returns, make wrongful accusations of tax cheating, and use the extraordinary powers of the tax authorities to seize assets, impose massive fines, etc. The aim is to persuade political opponents or put them out of business.

The German public mostly bought the Nazi lies before and throughout the war. Those who questioned official news were demonized as disloyal, communists, socialists, anti- German. News from foreign sources was just propaganda. This latter was also the majority view until the 1960's.

We should keep our mouths shut! Nothing happening is unexpected. Media wants conflict because it gives them ratings but it also advances the policy. So don't advance the policy by saying something. Do Not give it more acceptance by opposing it logically.
