This guy? So he can start more baseless rumours for the far right to quote? Seems to me a public apology is due. www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

She hasn't abandoned anything, this is misinformation. She has turned down an enquiry as the country had one 2 years ago of which the Tory Gov ignored the findings of and didn't implement any of the recommendations. You would be directing your anger at them if it wasn't just fake opportunitism.

Is there somewhere I can view this map?

Even if true, which it is obv not, the riots were partly fuelled by a grievance from communities seeing migrants put up in hotels. Although unjustifiable it gave the far right, and I include Farage, with ammunition to stoke community tensions. These people should be hanging their heads in shame.

Where? You realise accidental is just another way of saying overdose over intentional i.e. someone taking their own life?
comment in response to post
Honestly, please read it and think before jumping to conclusions. Nrscotland show the numbers this way as it is more rep. across population sizes and distribution. Same table also shows Sco v Eng. which is Sco 22.7, England 8.3.

This is last years report firstly. My quote above is taken directly from this years report but you seem to think we are having an epidemic of people being given an overdose while in hospital even though that is not shown in the statistics at all.

You realise the best way to argue a point is with indisputable statistics rather than advising others of bias, which really reflects on your own bias.

There were 1,193 drug poisoning deaths in Scotland, a rate of 22.7 deaths per 100,000 people in 2022. The UK region with the next highest rate of drug poisoning deaths was the North East of England with a rate of 13.4. The region with the lowest rate was London, with 5.7 deaths per 100,000 people

If you read the report publish yesterday it states while there is a difference in how deaths are recorded it is marginal. It then has a table where it compares Scotland nationally with English regions and other nations based on drug poisoning like for like
comment in response to post
If that was all the answer would it not be reported as such or would the Scottish government not explain this?

Ah that old chestnut. Even if there's some magic bullet that Scot Gov could fire that they are currently not allowed to, which id love to know what that is, why is it so much higher than the rUK in the first place? Is that not the underlying issue here?

I'm not sure what platform to migrate to. I was concerned that Jack of twitter was on the board of bluesy and he was the one who wanted musk to take over twitter and seems to be happy with where he has taken it.
