I’m pretty sure we’re both waiting to digest our first viewing so we can go see it again. Also, notably, we saw this movie at a small, locally owned, theater - but I hear tell that it’s made for IMAX? So I think that’s where we will be going…

What if we just pitched this as "the anthology JK Rowling doesn't believe you'll support" or some such nonsense? www.kickstarter.com/projects/com...

Two big dorks in love, 19 years apart. Love you more than ever @aliciawhitley.bsky.social

I’ve been training for this.

You know what? I want a game that’s just Fallout 4: Whoops All Settlements. Like, rebuilding the world after an apocalypse is the main goal. And interacting with the people you’ve gathered into your settlement is where the action is at. Like, Cities… but Fallout. Is that a thing? Can it be a thing?

If you’re interested, here’s the sign up!

I am definitely a “keep one in my car type of guy” now.

"We have seen how classroom methods, teacher attitudes, community activities...and teacher-organization can play a part in the struggle to advance the democratic ideal in defiance of any threat of fascism...The teacher must be deeply and passionately concerned with this great historic choice."

Pauli Murray is truly inspirational, and this place was so impactful and affirming for my kids to visit. If you would like to donate to help support their continued efforts, check out paulimurraycenter.com.

I've been working on @proghorrorpod.bsky.social's next ep (which drops tomorrow) about Nightmare 3 - bc it's kinda nice to be horrified by fiction... @benkahncomics.bsky.social @megamoth.bsky.social and @jeremywhitley.bsky.social are joined by @awalrusdarkly.bsky.social to talk Dream Warriors.

A reminder that if the government can send migrants to a prison camp without any due process, it can send U.S. citizens there, too. I know because this happened to me and my family in 1942.

Was just reading John Quincy Adams' oral arguments before SCOTUS in the Amistad case and this part seems, uh, pretty relevant

Is this why he got a specific Black History Month shout out from the White House? Hm.

#edusky colleagues, higher ed or K-12, please share. We are at Columbia, but we know that this struggle matters for education across the lifespan. A Statement from Teachers College Faculty on the Attack on American Education docs.google.com/document/d/1...

Walz: I think they hate public education because it’s easier to run an authoritarian government if you don’t have a population that knows.

Reading this at midnight working on my comps. Phew.

Came downstairs at 6am ready to putter around and procrastinate only to find that @jeremywhitley.bsky.social had set up all my notebooks and laptop the night before so all I had to do was sit down and get started. 🥰

“Mom… what have you done?! On the stage in your heels?!?! But what about your knees? Oh mama…”

This was a joy to edit! I’m sorry I missed out on getting to chat with you!

I definitely snort laughed at this 😂

“Our attackers will not stop with DEIA: They want to dismantle public ed because they hate race-conscious & inclusive policies & because they hate the larger endeavor of public ed…university leaders must realize they are coming for your funding, no matter what” www.insidehighered.com/opinion/view...

We picked up Mr. Muffins by @benkahncomics.bsky.social and it’s so good! Thank you for the great read, Ben!

Sara’s sister (Lisa?) and sister’s partner (Kelsie, I think?) on #LoveIsBlind are awesome though.

I remember when they got the larger mannequins and people were like “what?! Bigger people want to wear clothes too?!” And Target was like “Yeah. They do.” shakes head* Those were the days.

It’s “As” at the top for me. And then “Overjoyed”…
