He is indeed a Tory. Or runs under their flag. He has Kory Teneycke steering his way, and that is a powerful force.

Let’s be honest, this is America’s Gulag. To deport and detain US citizens in off-shore prisons for hire has to the ultimate tilt of free enterprise and capitalism. This, is evil come to life. Trump will achieve his “desire” to reduce foreign travel to the US; it will be all of it, legal or not!

Welcome to ON where Premier Doug Ford had used the Notwithstanding Clause , three (3) times. He has the distinction of being the first premier of ON to use it.

It’s rather incredible to observe the smashing of a republic, of its democracy, of its laws despite many being flawed, the demoralization of its people, the squashing of hope that good will prevail, the view of “humanity when it’s convenient” and the sound of the enablers all at the trough.

sorry Seth, from my perspective it ended when: •a convicted felon appeared on the ballot •his party allowed him to run •he was elected •he selected his cabinet •his govt deported an innocent man to a foreign prison, admitted to the error and are leaving him there! WTH is wrong with your country??

My two children grew up on your music and story telling. I became a calmer father listening along to your music and storytelling. When I viewed these pictures I saw what I noticed 30 years ago…. The genuine and beautiful smiles emanating from the people who enjoy your work. Thank you so much Raffi

These 24 deaths are more than half of all the Canadians who died of SARS in 2003. That virus took the lives of 44 Canadians. These 24 deaths in 9 months are what healthcare professionals have been warning their admins and ministers of health about. Horribly tragic for the families and the HCP’s.

Among the few positive discoveries that have emerged out of the years of COVID, the Convoy, the AB political mysteries etc are the few Canadian brilliant personalities willing to offer a clear and serious opinion with lumps of humour and occasional sarcasm. Ms Lisa, you are a Canadian Treasure!

More Canadians would find that they are happier living well within their means, enjoying simple pleasures, family/friends. Too many spend far more than they should under the guise that “if the banks are willing to lend the money then it must be ok”. Perfect High School grad gift: David Chilton’s:

That is what happened. We bought our home in 1984 in a new middle income raised bungalow neighbourhood. Within two years people started moving out to “upgrade” to a larger home and the pattern continued and they became house poor needing to add debt to make simple purchases; enslaved to the banks!

42 years ago? How is that possible? I recall hearing this album playing in my local record shop (BTW it’s international record day!) after it was launched as I browsed the new releases and then that voice, the musicians, those songs created one of those “Who the hell is this” moments! Ya…42 huh?

Congratulations to the new mom and dad. He appears to be a big boy. Enjoy this marvellous journey of parenthood, celebrate all the simple things in life, look after one another and nurture your child with love and affection. The world all looks so different now doesn’t it?

I never thought that I’ would úsee a travel advisory regarding travel to Canada. Those who oppose vaccines and mandates need to accept that “this” is the outcome. “Around 90% of people who are exposed to a person with measles will become infected!” www.narcity.com/new-york-has...

Members of govt are no different that the people who elect them; if you discover an error we just own up to it, as it appears the govt has, and then make reparations to the best of their ability and not throw their hands in the air and dismiss any responsibility! We’re taking about a human life!!

Well they wouldn’t want to expend any energy in an attempt to correct the “administrative error” that they admitted creating who’d they? The way they have ignored this man’s plight and fought against the court order it’s as though they are in denial of his innocence. A complete lack of empathy!

While the Fed govt’s lawyers were busy drafting arguments for the lower court and then the SCOTUS against the repatriation of an illegally deported, an admitted “administrative error”, has anyone in capacity picked up a phone to speak with President Nayib Bukele?

“Massive cuts to Medicaid and massive tax breaks to the wealthiest Americans” I have one question…. Why?

I think that many already held that view of the talking heads. The US govt speaks as if “foreign countries” snuck into the USA and stole all of their manufacturing. The reality is that US corps offshored the mills and jobs to the third world as their new method to increase profits. Self inflicted!

There is something to his mannerisms that do leave an impression. IMO his Reform policies have always seemed “less Canadian” than the PCs or Libs. He strikes me as one of those who’d shout to others “I’m alright Jack because I’m in the boat” types when the river is rising and you are floundering.

2/2 and I’ve not taken him seriously since. Mr Manning’s recent election ultimatum needs to be carefully reviewed and understood for what it is, a major attempt to influence the outcome of a federal election. This isn’t a proud Canadian moment. Shame on them all. 2/2

I agree with Mr. Coyne. Back in the days of Morningside w Peter Gzowski, Mr Manning’s visits offered the “other ROC” his view of Alberta politics. Despite his nasally screeching voice, we heard and could see their intended direction. Then Alan Fotheringham dubbed him Parson Manning. 1/2

One of the most common and incorrect statements that I believe harms the delivery of healthcare in Canada: “I understand that there’s free healthcare…” No it isn’t free! We pay for our healthcare. It’s a taxpayer supported model with many aspects that are partially covered or not covered. Not FREE

This is the worst and quite honestly the most offensive Stevie Wonder impersonation! This man has no vibe and no soul. Enough with the shades while indoors….otherwise people will believe that you are hiding something. *(This poster acknowledges that the wearer may have a medical reason)

This behaviour is who he is. While we cannot change character, we can ensure that those with nasty, self-centred characteristics never hold a seat of power. Observing his followers applauding and encouraging his nasty attacks in the HoC is disturbing and so is watching him soak up the adoration.

Something seems off; memories of Noriega? “The web of businesses that Padrino’s family members have built includes 24 companies in the U.S. and Venezuela and at least 14 properties in the U.S.” In 1995, he studied psychological operations at Fort Benning. www.occrp.org/en/project/r...

If the funding for the ER locum program was temporary and the ministry of health remains in negotiations with the OMA, why would a responsible person allow it to expire before an agreement was attained? This is unacceptable and demonstrates little understanding of the issue or the risks involved!

Very true. I Canadian elections we tend to vote people “out of office” instead of voting FOR someone to take office. We’re not so great at hiring or firing! So make a difference this election; get out and vote in support of someone that you believe will work for all Canadians!!

You are in good company Charlie! Perhaps the Grievous Angels and Neil+Crazy Horse could team up to perform a “Concert for Humanity”? Not to raise money but awareness, information about sovereignty, respect for others? You know just the basic “live and let live” behaviour we learn as children!

These ON MoH documents explain the outbreaks and the exposure locations. Most people were unimmunized and the contact locations are all over the map: schools, churches, coffee spots, hospitals, clinics, stores…. www.publichealthontario.ca/-/media/Docu... www.publichealthontario.ca/en/diseases-...

So far in 2025 two children and one adult have succumbed to a measles related death in the US. Measles were considered eliminated in the US in 2000. Meanwhile ON reports 661 cases Oct 2024 to April 2025 with 52 requiring hospitalization.

Well they weren’t all “hippies”, some were young men who looked like they just stepped out of a Baptist church; they just objected to being shipped halfway around the world to fight in a senseless war. Over 58,000 Americans died in Vietnam: now Nike, Under Armour and GAP have products made there.

Meanwhile in ON, we failed to establish safe nurse/patient ratios (Bill 192) which the Ontario Hospital Association describes as antiquated 20th century thinking. They also informed nurses that they need to be more flexible. That OHA official hasn’t spent a shift in any ON hospital. Shame on them!

Considering recent events in the US as well as at home, it’s nonsensical that recurring security clearances aren’t mandatory. Do we really wish to have political leaders in parliament who have not met this essential requirement? What is the risk of harm with obtaining clearance versus declining?

That “shack” that he referred to was one on thousands of “Victory Homes” that Canadians built for other Canadians to provide housing during and after WWII! The home designs and construction methods allowed crews to build a home in a matter of weeks. Many still exist! www.nfb.ca/film/wartime...
