One of the striking things about the Abrego Garcia case is that would be trivially easy for the government to demand his return and give apologists an easy talking point: "Yes, sure, mistakes happen but see, they care about getting it right & doing it legally after all." But nope.

Dying (or rather, not) on the hill of the least defensible case is exactly what they want.
Obviously this is a *why not both* situation, but the alternative to "they are utterly irrational" is that their goal is in fact to end America as it's been defined since 1787
No good reasons.
Noem might as well have dragged Abrego Garcia to the gravel pit.
“If Trump wants Garcia back, will you make him available? Will you send him back?”
I think it being vile is part of the point. Anyone can support deportation of violent criminals. But if ppl will back this, they'll back anything.
Which is why we must succeed.
I fear Mr. Abrego Garcia is dead, as well as others.
as in: Look, if you go after Trump publicly, this can happen to you.
In that context it maybe doesn't matter much if he gets shipped back, message is delivered.
Always.
Are they violating the Geneva Conventions?
They are being clear repeatedly: we decide what is right.
- Hannah Arendt, The Origins of Totalitarianism (1951)
They'll never admit a mistake if they do it was Biden/Obama's fault.
W- that in mind, what would stop El Salvador from simply unaliving the US prisoners? They get million$ per year from the US & we wouldn’t know if they’re dead or alive. & trump wouldn’t care. El Sal. gets $, w-out effort 2 care
...But man what kind of fucking country is it where it just doesn't even matter in the slightest that these fucks are dancing and delighting in their pure evil?
Either way, vanishingly small chance he comes back.
The fascists don’t give a fuck who gets the cruelty, as long as everyone sees it.
Praying I'm wrong.
Illegal disappearances to foreign terror camps paid for by US taxpayers.
What has he witnessed?
What precedent does this set?
These aren't mistakes at all.
if you cannot see things that you did wrong you will NEVER be a good administration....
That dude in El Salvador is probably dead already
If Trump had approached the pandemic in a rational fashion, he could have united the US and increased his chances of beating Biden.
So yes, irrational and chaotic responses are a hallmark of Trump's business practices.
Probably how he bankrupted casinos.
The rule of law has broken down
Poor man is done for.
“Getting it right” isn’t a significant factor.
Judge needs to make an example out of them. This administration is completely lawless & corrupt
What kind of stories are we going to get if that guy ever makes it out
We’re taking about a human life!!
I hope I'm wrong, but I think he's likely staying there or coming home dead.
If you look into CECOT it was built because El Salvador didn't have a death penalty and Bukele wanted something just as horrible. It was made with the expectation no prisoner would ever leave. I bet that was in their deal.
If they kill them day one they collect a years (or more) worth of payments.
A prison with limitless capacity.
But people maliciously chose Trump to pwn the libs. Everything they do is about pwnage.
If there were a contract. Is there one? Has anyone seen it?
$6M of your taxes wasted.
These people call others elitists while regarding themselves as above the rest of us, needing to answer or apologize to no one.
The optics are 💯 intentional

Plus, you know, it would embarrass Trump to go back to Bukele and ask back what he’d given him to play with.
#fear
for them.
According to them, this is right. It’s obscene.
3x times, the human drama leveraged as political posturing beat out the legislators passing legislation to save lives, money, allies and our morality.
They have no legal right to deport someone to a foreign prison, charge or not!
This is the President ordering criminal activity and you haven't charged him yet, why not?
I remember a senior administration man sitting with the Pakistani leaders & telling them cont….
For Pam Blondi to say that the U. S. Has no jurisdiction over the release of Mr.Garcia is an absolute Lie A La Trump. They can get him out now!!
“ Fire & Fury”.
