A lot of federal workers have skills that cross into private industry so being fired or quitting isn't career end of the line. Not so for these folks (I was one once). If they don't work for the government they dont work in their chosen careers. So yeah, true heroes who have everything on the line.

Since they can no longer accept "innappropriate" recruits such as BlPOC, women, LGBTQ+, atheists or Democrats, the pickins are now reduced to pasty privileged white guys. Best o' luck.

Same people who plant their carts in the middle of the grocery store aisle so no one can pass and refuse to move even when they see you wanting to go by.

I fantacize that it's donnie's failsafe cache. Should he meet with a mysterious end -- like, yanno, Ivana -- this is all the shit he has on everyone to blackmail them into kissing his ass. He gets Luigi'd and it all gets dug up. Literally.

IIRC her body was cremated very quickly. Which also calls to question the obvious struggle 6 men had with her coffin, implying significant weight, that had no body in it, just ashes. Presumably.

We'll probably never know. I've wondered why the state of NY just went "yeah ok, she fell, nothing to see here."

Just a few days before her alleged fall she went to a gala of some sort but then didn't go in because she couldn't go down the few steps required and that was with a companion. She had an elevator at home yet went down that staircase alone? Nothing adds up.

I see it as basic small talk like a coworker talking about their kid and asking if I have kids. The problem comes when I answer "no" and then get interrogated as to why followed by arguments why my decision is wrong. I imagine that's where the hurt enters for women who wanted kids but couldn't also.

"deep state activists" is doublespeak for federal workers who follow the law and honor their oath to the U.S. Constitution.

I cannot describe the times when I have wanted to grab them and shake them, screaming "What the fuck is wrong with you!!!" especially when it's young women. In Texas.

As a childfree woman, I never minded the question and don't think it's inappropriate. Whether or not an adult person has kids or wants kids is a basic human thing and topic that comes up in getting acquainted. It's how the answer to that question is responded to is the problem. It can get weird.

I see too many saying "Pffft I don't pay attention to that stuff" with a wave of their hand. It always seems to be accompanied by a whiff of superiority and a bless yer heart that you do so, as if it's a waste of time like watching reality TV. Blank brick walls, they are. Nothing gets through.

I was listening and you communicated a lot. Perhaps more than you realize. I wanted to know why you were so willing to throw your vote away in spite of clear evidence of extreme danger in doing so and now I have a pretty clear picture.

None of your examples have anything to do with DEI. I think actual facts do not support your accusation of LAFD failures but even you deny these claimed failures are due to DEI except "celebrating their diversity." What does that even mean?
comment in response to
post
Physical requirements must be met by men and women to serve in military, police and fire. Always has been. You state that unqualified people, ie women, have been undeservedly promoted due to DEI "time and time again" with zero evidence.
No thanks. Heard all those right wing points before too.

Noted is your evasion of the military DEI issue that you stated was an important factor in your vote. How is diversity, equity, and inclusion a problem? Who, in your opinion, doesn't belong there? 2/2

You cite vague terms like "general attitude" without evidence or any specific policy differences between parties on BORDER (not boarder) issues and crime. Just like you cited vague, non-policy reasons for disliking Clinton, Biden and Harris while insisting your views are policy-based. 1/2
comment in response to
post
I see only right wing talking points here. It was Trump/GOP who scuttled the last bipartisan border bill, not Democrats, and crime dropped to a record low during the Biden admin. Who do you feel should not be serving in the military? Women? PoC?
comment in response to

Apparently. I modelled what Cuban is asking for re: dialog. Aquaguy was quite quick and verbose to answer until I asked him, twice, for specific policies he was so offended by that he could not cast a Dem vote. Silence. Typical of my experience. Cosplayers. Empty. Vacant. Unserious.

What Biden/Harris policies did you find problematic enough that you could not live with?

Thanks for your response. It was informative. It doesn't sound right wing but does sound very... unserious. You were clearly willing to throw away your vote which I admit I cannot understand.

You didn't feel like Hillary, Joe, or Kamala were good options? They were/are 3 of the most accomplished and qualified candidates in the country. Who would you have chosen?
