Before any Linux users hmu for my recommendations of Mint and Ubuntu. Look I get it, Ubuntu is not the best and I could also mention Fedora (for example). And yes, elementaryOS also exists but I just wanted to give a couple of strong options. Imo most people shouldn't go head first into arch.

I get it, you always saw it as a niche/nerd thing or you always thought about it as a high effort thing. Yeah but that's Arch Linux. Stay away from that Simba, follow the light. Linux Mint and Ubuntu are ready for you! Just try it. You won't regret it. And you can say FU to Microsoft! Its free!

Same energy from people who haven't used android/IOS in 10 years but still use that anecdotal evidence as "proof" one is worse.

C has its issues for sure. But I still miss some features from it on python. Python gimme some macros please!

But my high school teacher always beguiled me with how I should be wording wordily to captivate my readers....

Idk man. Feels like we should put some of that DEI money into studying the "Having a beer" into "invading a foreign country" pipeline

Someone go revive De Gaulle so I can apologize to him. Guy was out of pocket often but damn was he right about European defence

John I love your books. But if your book gets to Trump's desk and he somehow thinks the moon is cheese and tries to melt it with the Jewish space lazers we are gonna have to curb your power

Republicans before: "If you didn't want to get assaulted why did you dress like that?" Republicans now: "If you didn't want to get invaded why are you looking so rich?" Same energy

Can't believe DEI has come to James Bond... We have divorced-dad-in-his-fifties James bond now... Uh Where my British actors at? Someone get Idris Elba on the phone plz

Oh great. Just what we need, the people doing the science to start being afraid to do science. I guess I'll never get to have my nuclear powered phone that never runs outta battery

Calling yourself a king doesn't make you a king. Your son Barron being the true Muad'dib does.

If an epidemic happens somewhere else he will likely blame whichever country it is, then taking the time to say how the US would have managed so much better because of him... If it happens in the US he will just say it's overblown.

Reading that book, all the dolphin parts reminded me of the expression: "You're right but you're still an asshole" I remember growing up and being told dolphins are the 'friendly' equivalent of sharks. Boy o boy did that age like milk

He can only do that if he lives on the ground floor of whatever building he is.

My man Milei named his cloned dogs after economists like Milton. I'm not sure what I expected but this wasn't it.

Can't wait for Tesla to use this argument when self driving cars start driving over people

Turning people into a monolith will just bring more harm. Leaving those in red states who didn't vote for Trump high and dry will just drive them towards his arms.

Respect is a two way street. To continue to show respect towards someone who so openly mocks and undermines you is self-defeating. At that point you are not so much showing respect but submission.

Tech bros think they can techsolve all problems even if they are not tech related. Like, sorry Elon, but you can't bring back your children's love with a python script.

Supermarket-brand Dictator right there.

The bigger problem for Americans is the precedent this opens. US officials will absolutely figure out their own way to apply this under the radar if the UK gets their way.

This reminds me of the concept of people having "computer mana"

Is there anyway we can get European NATO members to pre-emptively honey pot these dudes?

Miss the tactile feeling of shoveling coal into the furnace of my steam powered vehicle. For real though, I hate cars that have everything in touch screens. I want to be able to reduce my AC without having to navigate 20 menus.

Yeah except this time he actually has some people around him who actually studied how to insurrection properly.

Someone get this man some kneepads. He's gonna have some serious pain in his knees from the amount of kneeling he's gonna be doing.

That appears to be the only way. Waking up in the morning and see what the Krazy Klown Klub has done the day before is really wearing me down.

They have forgotten how to fight. Their whole strategy for the past 8 years has been to tell people "Trump bad" without having any real alternative. And now they don't know what to do.

"Trust me bro, we gave access to one of the most critical infrastructures in the country to a bunch of tech bros that worship a billionaire. But nothing will happen, c'mon bro trust us!"

Trump's authoritarianism becomes more and more blatant. Project 2025 is happening and they don't care to hide it anymore. Corporate media will not report on it for fear of backlash and every social media tycoon is bowing down.

He is going to keep owning the Republicans on Bluesky. A platform most of them don't come on because they are too afraid of having their feelings hurt. Good job peacocking Chuck

Someone start making memes about how Elon Musk is funded by china. Is it true? No, but at this point it seems to be the only thing Congress cares about

Did someone just go to the synonyms website and spend 20 hours clicking everything they could find? This is such a broad list.

Considering how many 19 year olds think they have everything already figured out this is dire news.

Oh great. I swear if he renames it to TrumpTok or something I'm gonna have a fit.

Bruh. Can't wait to hear that he cancelled someone's benefit checks because that someone called him lame on discord.

Congress seems to have forgotten that they are one of the three branches of government. That the three branches are separate for a reason. And that they can actually do more than just complain...

Trump thinks that the US is some magical country that can run on its own without needing anybody else. He thinks everyone needs the US. My brother, everything is super connected nowadays. Does he think Iphone chips are made in a factory in Texas or something?
