Before any Linux users hmu for my recommendations of Mint and Ubuntu.
Look I get it, Ubuntu is not the best and I could also mention Fedora (for example). And yes, elementaryOS also exists but I just wanted to give a couple of strong options.
Imo most people shouldn't go head first into arch.
