Depends on what one considers a "massive" truck. My 2009 silverado crew cab doesn't feel massive. I have a family of 4 plus 2 dogs. I do use it for hauling, towing, moving friends/family and getting around when Minnesota weather challenges my charger. I'm so not letting my dogs in my charger.

I've spent years slowly gathering shelf stable food, water and other necessity items whether for our own use or trade. It may be for naught but at least my family has a chance. I think a lot will come down to how a community can come together or strike at each other in fear.

If I have something to trade I'm going to want something of immediate value. Gold isn't necessarily going to mean something when people are looking for things to survive. If someone offers me gold for a couple chickens will the gold help me get a well dug or will my neighbor want cloth 🤷🏻♀️
