Heard some dudes outside the coffee shop talking about malls and had to butt in to mention that 2/3 of the real estate is parking. Normally I wouldn't but they had bicycles and I was locking up my bike, so it felt acceptable.

Accidently showed up an hour early to work. (I will still be late)

Once again I am horrified to discover the benefits of going to bed early and waking up early.

I feel the the proliferation of top golf locations is connected to the rise in fascism.

It’s the illegal parking jackpot: A Cybertruck, idling with nobody inside, in front of a fire hydrant, with a paper license plate that expired 10 days ago.

Judith Butler: "Once you decide that a single vulnerable minority can be sacrificed, you’re operating within a fascist logic, because that means there might be a second one you’re willing to sacrifice, and a third, a fourth, and then what happens?"

It's so cold (how cold is it?) It's so cold that water is freezing

If anyone knows anything about these diamondback racing titanium road frames, please let me know. It's made in USA, apparently by sandvik? Also if you have an idea how I should build this up!

HOT RESEARCH NEWS! Motonormativity ("car brain") is a bias that stops people making rational judgements about driving en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Motonor... Our new study shows where this bias comes from AND how it makes people think they're odd for supporting changes to the transport system 🧵

Here's the haul! I got an ultregra 10 and 11 speed cassette, an xt derailleur, hold fast straps, VO fenders, mks pedals, a bottle cage, a raw titanium bike frame with a carbon fork and a Chris king headset

My stop swap and save haul includes velo orange hammered fenders, a titanium frame and a Chris king headset. Great deals. The frame was 100 bucks!

as much as I love bikes, I do secretly dream in my heart of hearts of building a gokart, especially one with offroad wheels.

When you are sick you can have a stoop beer, as a treat

Everyone in Philly is having fun together other than me (I have a cold) Might force myself to have a beer on my stoop. I think being outside in the brisk air is good for you? And beer is good? Makes sense to me

Let's rephrase this. "I only have 7 bikes right now"

I own 7 bikes.

Make it Permanent

According to the lists I'm on, really liking bicycles, urbanism, and living in Philly

The idea that it’s undemocratic to use the powers given to you under state law to remove a corrupt mayor who is essentially being bribed into complying with an administration that’s breaking the law every minute is ridiculous.

Maybe it's nieve, but the speed at which corps and organizations like the ncaa rolled back even the bare minimum of attention or care to minorities is shocking. They've defended it before! Obviously they never believed it but still.

framers couldn't account for the speaker of the house being a pathetic toady

biking to work is so damn fun. i love that i get to chat with other cyclists on the way. you simply don't get that kind of human interaction in a car
