Even before COVID the thing I always got from riding on an airplane was sick. I am never flying without a mask again.

This is one I had to let go of a long time ago because it creates cognitive dissonace between two things that I know to be true:
* I'm smart AF
* I am the person who thinks of the snappy retort three days later

My favorite stat is most Americans think that Federal spending on foreign aid should be around 10% and think the current spending is around 30%.
The current Federal spending level is about 1% of the budget. So it sounds like they'd be okay with *more* foreign aid, yeah? >facepalm<

I have questions, like, how do we know what the average sperm count is among 10-year-old boys? Does even talking about this sound as creepy to everyone else as it does to me?

I have so many questions, chief among them: If someone needs an anti-depressant to be a functioning member of society are they "addicted" to that med?
If so, does that mean type-1 diabetics are "addicted" to insulin?
Inquiring minds and all that (please note the willful sarcasm)

Yeah, the message I took away from this commercial was: It's okay to be an athlete, to be strong, as long as you're feminine. Not a great message.

Had a 1:1 with my manager (who is a delight, BTW) last week. In response to "How are you?" I said "I'm borrowing spoons from March right now."

Legacy media sold us out whole in 2016 when they treated the first Trump campaign like a joke.
