That was more on Hutson for not taking the man. Tough for goalies who don’t have eyes on back of head. Dman each take a post

It MB remember so might only take Struble straight up. Similar to the Habs-Tampa trade for Galcheyuk. lol

I agree on Newhook. Dach though at the time looked solid. Two major injuries may have derailed what he was and we need to figure out what he is now. And I’m not saying he is perfect. Experience and pressure of playoff hunt go along way. But at the cost of future is the key thing they must weigh

He won’t just trade for sake of trading. It must improve team. He is also looking 4 steps ahead of where we look. “Just” making the playoffs not the goal. Years of contending is. I trust management

Most puzzling is having worst NHL goalie and a ton of minor hockey garbage. The play is fine. It’s the severely bad goalies that are killing them
comment in response to post
Exactly. 3/4 line guys cannot kill your cap structure. I know cap is going up but lines 1/2 are the star players to carry a club

Question. Is the salary retained like the buyout after the lockout? Meaning 3 and then they cannot anymore. Two of those slots come off the board after this year so 1 more doesn’t kill them if that’s the case

4 straight to Canes. Bound to try and "even" it up

That would be a good plan, except Keefe is a disaster. Team is not that bad but have the worst goalies in the league. Couldn't stop a beachball
comment in response to post
10 minutes, +1 with 3 hits. Not doing that bad.

Well good time for it as they have a crap goalie. Now that I have said that he will have a Brodeur like performance. Stunk against Leafs though

Beck on the line. Is he c or winger?

I’m not sure how long Trump lasts. Their economy in the tank as well and once they realize Tarrifs hurt them as well. States and Senate and judges starting to push back some of his attempts already. And once all allies are alienated I am not sure what happens

Nice article. The easiest way to get there is to mix up the PP more. Meaning everyone knows it’s going to Laine. Also why our success rate has plummeted. So let’s fake Laine and go to Cole more. Make them both threats. Seem we forgot Cole was on PP
comment in response to post
I’m not a Dvorak fan at all. But he wasn’t 3/4th line player with revolving wingers that have been pretty crappy at times themselves. He’s never been a line carrying player.

different now. Good old days linesmen skated up and dropped the puck. Now there are 30 rules and 2 violations are a penalty and then the linesmen want their 15 minutes of fame on the camera. Still they should be working on them as its an important part of puck possession. Wingers have role too
comment in response to post
Thats fine. My thought is as a 1-2 plus PP time that puts Hutson at 25+ minutes which will wear him down for a long playoff run which is what we are hoping for. End of the day a proper coach plays the d just as evenly as the forwards. I see Ghule as the #1 which pulls Mailloux as the #2. Eventually
comment in response to post
I see Reinbacher with Hutson on 3-4 role. Ghule-Mailloux as 1-2 which will allow more offence from Mailloux. With Xhekaj and whomever as 5-6. Xhekaj can be a 3-4 but behind Ghule and Hutson so an excellent 5. This puts an o with a solid d on all 3 pairings

My argument against is the same as against keeping the FA's: Next year is not a contending year. Its a make the playoff year. So we need some more youth up next year (Demidov, Beck, Logan, to start) for an experience year, as year 2 will begin contending status and adding Reinbacher/Fowler. IMHO
comment in response to post
Probably an unpopular opinion but we cannot come back next year with the same team. We have kids to move up. And yes we don't want a team filled with rookies. However, we are 2-3 years away from being a contender so lets bring them up. And in 2 we bring Reinbacher and Fowler, etc. Thats the target
comment in response to post
Yes and perfectly paired. But also add Xhekaj - ???

Was it for cap purposes casue you don’t play til Wednesday? Or maybe Belleville plays?

Oy Struble-Hutson

Just to be different......Matheson.

My only thought is he would never come to Mtl. Never even gave us a meeting to discuss. Sure he wanted Leafs from day 1 but not even taking a meeting tells me a lot.

Most of the time the trolls have an agenda. Want to prove Reinbacher should never have been picked ahead of "their guy". Same issues with Mailloux. It is not a hockey analysis but a personal one that they have no idea about. Frustrating and I try to just move on. Sometimes hard to do

Don't have to. When you watch Leafs games you can see that MM stirs the drink that is AM. Does a great deal of the work for no glory. All AM cares about is his goals. And Leaf fans want MM gone. Be careful what you wish for. Would love him on the Habs, just not at 11m+ as a winger
comment in response to post
Would love to see Mailloux and Florian up for Saturday. Add in Arber and they can put BT in his place. He would be too scared to do squat
comment in response to post
Good pic but I would have went with Dumb and Dumber myself. Fits more

Not sure how Heinz changed to bronze but ok
comment in response to post
Bronze only left for USA for a couple of years. They are back in Quebec and fully Canadian again. Tomatoes are Ontario and plant in Quebec

Yes for sure. Sens would be better. Are you saying you don't think hes a top 10 player if he wants to be? I don't either just thought I would throw that in so the Sens trolls would stop coming for me. lol
comment in response to post
In my opinion he could be a top 10 player in the league. However, he cannot control himself and truly does end many comeback by the Sens by taking stupid brain dead penalties. That will never stop as he cannot control his anger. What Sens can get for him would vault the team huge.

safe travels. And it will feel like -25 tomorrow so home you brought long pants. haha

Not sure why we did not send Dobes down for break. Yes Primeau was on a hot streak but
comment in response to post
He dominated today and was best player on ice. He needs more of that first for sure
comment in response to post
I would add Roy if he keeps playing like todays Roy?
