It's true. But they don't care. There are no oligarchs in Ukraine and those are the only people they care about.

Problem is, even if you stop him from shutting it down, if he's in charge of it, do you really trust him with your vote? No, I didn't think so.

You're kidding, right? The problem is not that they don't know they have the power. They simply don't have the will. There has been an Oligarchy gravy train unleashed on them. They aren't only spineless, they are heart-and-soulless.

He just can't see a beautiful place and not think about how much money could be made selling it off and developing it. It's truly sad.

But they do keep blaming Biden. And the people living deep inside the right wing news bubble are hearing nothing about what they are actually doing. So, blaming Biden for inflation it is. Reality has a way of rearing its head eventually, but only time will tell if it's soon enough.

The Tea-Party had the non-stop amplification of the Oligarch-owned press. They are completely suppressing any news of organizing on the left. Did you read even one word about the marches in big cities across the country on President's day in any national news outlet? Me neither.

They didn't mind the "king" part. It was the black guy part.

I'm not sure they plan on any future elections, so no need for voters.

As volunteers, using their own money to do the people's work? In their kitchen's because the offices are locked? It's a pretty big ask for people who work for a living. Maybe we should admit that the cavalry isn't coming and it's up to us to protect our government.

I think this is their plan for saving Social Security.

I'm pretty sure these people would be part of the "parasite class". I have no doubt Elon and the First Felon are working on it.

Yes. That's their plan for saving Social Security.

From UK, it really does look like they're trying to cull the American population. No vaccines, no Medicaid/Medicare, rural hospitals closing (due to losing Medicare/Medicaid), migrant healthcare workers deported, no food safety, no drug safety, no medical research, no drug price limits, no food aid

I suppose it's true that more old dead people helps social security if you are completely dead to compassion.

I just don't get how they think crippling us in science will "MAGA". It's breathtaking in its delusions.

They really are just dragons protecting their rubies. There is certainly no humanity at the helm.

Thank you Brazil for showing us what might have been possible had we not been spineless weasels.

This is so important. And the way it's tied to money. If we don't get a handle on this, I just don't see how there's a good or even peaceful outcome.

The cowardice and greed is beyond disheartening.
BTW, I have two Portuguese Water dogs, Sophie & Maggie. Great dogs.

No foreign national should ever again trust a single thing we say about protecting them. Ever again. It's heartbreaking.

I don’t think this is true about Marco’s grandfather. He left Cuba before Castro. But yes, he is an empty suit.

Yes. But Republicans learned from that that even if "red" areas are harmed by their policies all they have to do is blame Biden. No repercussions to Republicans at all. So why would they care.

Yes. Flying through the air in a tin can while beta testing Elon's new FAA software is not my idea of a good idea.

I've always thought the FDA was a crap organization controlled by oligarchs who have taken over our food systems. But this makes it even more clear that you are on your own when you make choices about what to put in your mouth.

If you look at US history, this isn’t even remotely the first time we’ve done this to other countries.
comment in response to

The US conducted peace talks with Spain that divided up Cuba, with no Cubans at the table. There were no Palestinians at the table when FDR and Churchill gave Palestine to Israel. This is, in fact, our frequently our way of doing it with poor countries.

This has historically been the US’s playbook. How do you think we got Guantánamo Bay?

Problem with this is it doesn’t hurt Jeff. It hurts the vender who is probably just making ends meet.

Yes. On the other hand history is repleat with examples of American Presidents and other world big whigs dividing up the land of poor people who weren’t there. So there’s that. Sigh.
