Hey indie devs, when you're making a menu with controller support for your game, please don't forget to make it navigable with a d-pad as well as the analog stick. Feels awful when you have to use an analog stick for something that really needs distinct inputs.

this is pretty cool. the original X-Com was a 2D isometric game but the collision system itself was 3D. objects in the world would have collisions defined by vertical stacks of predefined patterns. this allowed the game to do accurate line of sight and hit detection. very cool!

We should start remaking awful games. Games that did not sell well. Games that did not receive critical and/or commercial fame. Yes—it is cool we getting all of these remakes for lauded games, but we should also be getting remakes for stuff that just did not work out too well for whatever reason.
