Hey, so while I totally appreciate everyone's good work selling Tesla stock and offloading their Tesla vehicles, something that is MUCH quicker and cheaper and is relevant to MANY MORE PEOPLE would be to GET OFF TWITTER.

I spent almost 2 hours painstakingly copying the orbits of all 128 Saturnian moons from the announcement MPEC and reformatting them for visualization... Behold, here are the orbits of ALL 128 MOONS OF SATURN. This isn't just a moon system—it's a literal asteroid belt around Saturn! 🧪🔭☄️

Dueling press releases today for two exciting nearby #exoplanet system updates! 🪐🔭 GJ 3998: a super-Earth in the habitable zone added to this system with two previously known planets! www.iac.es/en/outreach/... And Barnard's star: three new sub-Earth-sized planets added to this nearby M dwarf!

In other exoplanetary news today, the Maroon-X team confirmed our results from last september on Barnard's star 🔭#exoplanets iopscience.iop.org/article/10.3...

Looks like the three candidate planets around Barnard’s Star have been confirmed!

Confirmed at last! Following decades of disproven claims, four small exoplanets have been confirmed to orbit Barnard’s Star, the second-closest star system to Earth after Alpha Centauri. aasnova.org/2025/03/11/c... 🪐🧪

1. Major news in transgender care. Germany, Switzerland, and Austria have just released their trans youth care guidelines. They strongly recommend trans youth care and slam the Cass Review in England. Europe is not "pulling back" on trans care. Subscribe to support our journalism.

URGENT: We need someone to translate 400 pages of medical guidelines from German into English for little or no pay. This is for trans kids. This is the content: register.awmf.org/de/leitlinie... What do you all need from me in order to do this? Contact [email protected] if needed.

In a world of Matts, be a Derek.

Today is the first day of the annual* Lunar and Planetary Science Conference, the biggest planetary science meeting in the world. And we're hearing that NASA's Office of Technology, Policy and Strategy and Office of the Chief Scientist have been shut down. (1/n)

Post a photo you took with no context to bring some zen to the timeline.

i turned it into a drawing in the year 58,515 an interstellar ship tears through space at 99.9999% lightspeed, travelling to some far away place. the extremely blueshifted light is enough to heat its exotic hull to the point of incandescence

It's a packed house for NASA Night at this year's LPSC. With things afire generally and at NASA specifically (see my earlier posts today), it's going to be an interesting town hall.

Planetarium Dress Finally got to paint this idea I had after failing the last time. My friends on Discord suggested a music dress so I might take a stab at that next :D #art #painting #fashion #stars #planets #solarsystem #space

Hey! Something I am a bit of an expert in! Newsrooms have been completely gutted. Reporters will report on what is quickest and easiest to get to deadline. These protests need a PR rep who is writing press releases, submitting pictures, providing quotes, sending B-Roll, and available *on the phone*

Just before leaving #art

It's Friday night. I did enough this week. I'm so exhausted, guys. You did enough this week. Let's all recuperate and keep going next week.

This is what your reposts and signal boosts can do for independent artists.

Science and NASA was once the pride of our nation. It is our strength, our might. It made us great. To tear that away is to remove the best part of us.

I once wrote a short story about a planetary robot that cost billions and took years, only to reach its destination, turn around and phone home, but no one was left to listen, to understand, to interpret its discoveries. I thought I was joking.

well this made me cry over breakfast. to any democrats holding even a shred of power right now: look at what’s possible from people far more endangered and vulnerable than you and grow a spine, you fucking cowards www.erininthemorning.com/p/powerful-s...

Can’t wait to hear how DEI caused this

Been having this happen so much on Bluesky lately 😭🫶🩵

It remains way past time for everyone to stop giving a platform to Avi Loeb.

We are working on launching an ALT DOGE website. It will soon feature a team page listing all of Elon’s staffers, our own wall of receipts (tracking the money he’s taking from America), and a section to help Americans keep tabs on the false claims on Doge’s website—which now exceed 52%.

Astronomers! One of the best things about the old astro-Twitter was that there was frequent discussion of the latest research. The new AstroSci feed is the perfect place to have this kind of science discussion! ☄️ If you see a cool paper - post about it!
