The Ace Attorney / Apollo Justice games are also pretty fun. There’s also a spinoff series for Miles Edgeworth, not sure if the second game was officially translated but theres a fan made sub online that’s great.

Also adding here that buying assets is totally fine and understandable, but telling someone not to at least try to make their own assets as a learning exercise probably just wants to sell you stuff.

Going through each of the asset creation steps like making your models or sprites, sounds, programming the game logic, etc. is a rite of passage. And a nightmare that gives you appreciation for all the specialties within gamedev.
Skipping to the end by telling people to buy assets misses the point
