Indeed, but such seems to be the plan

Very different projects and Perth's line has ongoing problems (some suggest it was poorly contracted)

$2 billion from the state. $2 billion from the Feds

Well of course technically there are no sky scrapers in Adelaide and there won't be until Festival Tower 2 is built by 2027

It's now been pushed out of the top 10 by the past decade of high rise construction, and will slide further with new developments coming in the next few years

I have used the Conduent validators in Adelaide with QR codes and have found them very efficient to be honest

Over Easter weekend ARTC have replaced the 100 year old bridge over the Light River with a new structure. Crews are still on site so TSR applies until works are finalised

It's been a few years since I last got good photos of the queen of the desert, one of the world's longest passenger trains and always some great variety on South Australian rails

It's a good example of why using the existing new-ish readers on the Myki system would not have worked. These new Conduent readers allow innovation in ticketing products and more flexibility for travellers

It's on the list of things to do to this map when I get around to it. I'm also going to make a version of services that run at least daily

Around 3 times per week

Thank you. It is satisfying when it goes right, and also a lot easier with two people (one to drive, one to navigate). I reckon we did about as well as you can do, especially north of Bendigo

Thanks for joining the chase!
One of my most successful to date, after a few years of practice it is getting easier. I had a great take, took some amazing photos and saw some excellent heritage power
It's a great hobby and fun when it goes right!

With the nature of the Bendigo line's geography, there wasn't much chance in chasing line we did around Rochester
Our final pic was Williamston Rd, just north of Bendigo, in fantastic evening light. The train was now running about 10 minutes behind, which is very good for a special!

Taradale viaduct is one of the most impressive structures on the Bendigo line, and where we met S313 once again
After standing in the loop for 30 minutes to let V/line country services pass, she crossed the viaduct with a straight shot to Melbourne

With a brief stop at Castlemaine station to see S313 arrive, and get petrol + toilet break, we were off before departure once again

There was no catching S313 until Kangaroo Flat where the train had to wait for a down Bendigo to fly pass. Knowing the departure shot would be blocked, we didn't hang around to see her get out
Time: 4:51

Now hitting serious traffic, it took another 12 minutes before our next shot, where the highway crosses the rail line for the entry into Bendigo
Keep in mind this entire thread so far has happened in about 35 minutes
