community. I love photography, and I am a bit of a dabbler here and there. I love antiques, and going to craft stores to look for frames for my work. I'm past 50, but I truly enjoy New Mexico living. I respect the culture here, there's nothing like it. Tradition and family are everything.

I had to re-establish myself all over again because everything had changed. While some things remained the same, the growth here was enormous. I'm a writer and published author, I have had several columns, and am active in the art community both in Albuq and Santa Fe. I'm also active in the poetry

I've seen good days, REALLY good days, and very hard economic times, where you didn't know if businesses were going to hang on. I've worked for MCI and AOL during their haydays. I left in 2006 to move up to Seattle, where I lived for fourteen years, came back to my hometown (here) during Covid...

Yeah, we're just getting on and off snow showers. The poor folks over on the eastside of the mountains look like they're getting slammed, as well as the foothills right now.

Same, really weird. It looks like they want us to give permission to "share".

This year has been a little different, can't say that I remember having the National Weather Service issue a duststorm (haboob) warning. The mountains look like they are covered in powdered sugar today. We had some light snow overnight (I'm just outside of Rio Rancho-> Bernalillo) & showers all day.

Happy Early Birthday, Natalie! Pappadeaux's is so good! Their signature drinks are lethal, though, beware if you indulge. :)

That's pretty serious stuff. I'm not looking forward to those winds tomorrow at all, we had a lot of damage from them on Monday.

We all have these past few months. Hope you're hanging in there. These past few months have been rough, seems like a year has gone by, and 💩 it's only Wednesday.

It has been crazy. Mother Nature's way of playing NM bingo, 65, 43, 70, lol! I'm dressing in layers now, wearing a coat in the morning and short sleeves in the afternoon.

I'm so glad that you're over here. I'm a big fan, and love your Anita Blake series.

Try after 7pm, I think that's when the wind advisory expires.

It's insane out there. I WAS going to do some grocery shopping and a pet food run, but not today. We have 40-60 mph wind out there. I switched to home delivery, but don't know if they can even make it, there's no visibility out there to drive. Rio Rancho isn't too bad, just tumbleweeds flying.

49 degrees here today, yup, very chilly. We get so spoiled with the "fake spring" weather, and then zoom..we get a day like today and we're back to freezing again.
