Weird rant to go on because someone dared say autism isn't a disability.

There's something so empty and performative about the "eat the rich" trends. People get more excited about a CEO being murdered in cold blood than they do about practical political activism that would actually threaten the rich. You're a gift to billionaire class, not opposition. Know that.

Maybe a side point but SpaceX is a company that launches satellites to low Earth orbit. They took 17 years to finally send someone to the space station 250 miles above Earth. Mars would take 300,000,000 miles and be infinitely more complex. SpaceX isn't going to Mars. It's a marketing gimmick.

Me too. I remember when I was so excited about technology developments. Now I'm only saddened by them.

Wow, congratulations!!! I can't wait to see how they adapt it.

This was explicitly chosen by voters. There's no heroes to save us from ourselves. We can reflect on how we failed ourselves and allowed this to occur. We can work towards organizing and undoing this. Any of this "boohoo why won't Obama SAY SOMETHING" self indulgent drivel and helps the fascists

There's no hope. There's an emergent fundamental asymmetry in modern politics. Structural and emotional incentives exist on the left to emphasize criticism of opponents of the right and these incentives simply don't exist on the right There's no practical wisdom behind the empty words you quoted.

Sometimes I forget that in the midst of a fascist takeover of the country by billionaires that the online left is still more fixated on performatively cringing at people who are upset over the fascist takeover of the country by billionaires than the fascists themselves.

Sorry minor point here, but there's a space between trans and woman. I don't mean to nitpick allies obviously expressing support. I'm grateful. The distinction is just to make clear it's an adjective for a woman, not something distinct from woman. Sorry for nitpicking and thank you support ☺️

Very cool how people are afraid to provide objectively useful information that reduces ambiguity and makes communication easier because they're afraid they may seem too accommodating to a small vulnerable community.

I don't think most people use LLMs to learn. They use LLMs to avoid needing to learn. They're a great learning tool, but they still require intellectual curiosity and patience.

People need to stop using DOGE. Just say Musk. DOGE is an imaginary veneer of legitimacy.

People without mental health conditions will continue to kill at increasing numbers. People who need mental health medicine will suffer, and continue to be disproportionate victims of gun violence. The two don't need to be conflated.

Performative criticism of a minority party in the face of a fascist takeover of the country in order to get likes on social media? No thanks, I'll leave the bootlicking deflection to right-wing cultists, and pseudo-leftists grifters and Internet dopamine addicts.

You're a social media grifter capitalizing on performative self-righteousness toward the opposition party that's fighting against the fascist rapist currently ending our democracy. I think you're the weird one.
comment in response to post
Your first statement is true. Your second is self-righteous nonsense. Those who did not not for Harris are 100% complicit in Trump's ethnic cleansing.

I'm a grade-a AI hater. Especially the nonsensical hype and absurd applications of it. But it's a great tool for me when used to encourage thought, rather than replace it. It's a godsend to autistic learning patterns which traditional methods work against.

And their excuse how it just wasn't feasible for one of the largest companies on the planet to keep track of dates for these events...

I think two decades of the media mythologizing teenage script kiddies and front-end web developers as geniuses probably played a role in the fact 19 year old programmers are senior advisors at the defense department.

Did I miss him doing something besides perform to great personal benefit at a racist's institution's yearly big celebration, with the fascist in charge gleefully attending? Kendrick Lamar can't save America, that's what the ballot was for. If we're lucky enough to get another, don't fail again.
comment in response to post
People seem to keep desperately forcing this into some subversive framing. Why is performing at no cost for a racist institution's halftime show in front of a fascist so subversive?
comment in response to post
Trying to comprehend the subversive message that must be at the root of this embarrassingly out of touch image... But I guess you're sincere? The far right could not conceive of a greater ally than you. Desperately deflecting on their behalf even as they form a Christo-fascist dictatorship.

Remember when we weren't allowed to point out this guy was obviously lying about Trump's health?

Disgusting bigoted behavior. We're not a safe place to host these games. And since these trans scapegoats they want to harm don't actually exist, expect a lot of cis women athletes to get transvestigated and attacked like we saw at the last Olympics.

I think it's important to recognize this as a larger pattern. They have been explicit with their desire to remove trans people from society as a core part of their movement. I know he does many terrible things at once, but this is not a distraction. This is a targeted act with a particular end goal
comment in response to post
I guess I'm glad it's so unmasked at this point that people can't hide behind their usual justifications for transphobia... Or maybe they'll embrace her, or maybe no one cares? I don't know. Scary times ☹️

It's really good in certain contexts because of its simplicity. But I cannot imagine sincerely relying on it as my primary OS for general computer needs. Some tools are extremely good at somethings and less good at others. It doesn't make them better or worse. They just have their place.
