Definitely cole slaw, usually on the sweet side, and the chili isn't with beans, it's a special chili we make specifically for dogs -- finely minced meat and tangy.

Yes, except it wasn't just religious leader who were jailed, tortured, and murdered under the Shah, who was propped up by the US; all political dissidents met the same fate under the CIA trained SAVAK. Likewise, it wasn't solely a religious revolution -- it was one branch of the movement.

But don't forget Iran in the 1950s, when a secular and democratic government wanted a fair price for their oil. Britain and the US re-installed the Shah as tyrant. And the fool thought that religious hard-liners were harmless.

Yes, definitely -- I know the area, family immigrated there and worked the mines. Won't get better here in WV until voters wake up. House GOP supermajority have implemented school vouchers to ensure we stay stupid. Unfortunately, only more suffering will wake them up.

I simultaneously love it and hate it here. Southern strategy, hand in hand with corporate greed has decimated a once proud way of life. The desperation, poverty, and addiction is overwhelming. I lost yet another former student to addiction this week. More suffering to come. Time to wake up.
