Trump keeps using the threat of withholding federal funds until someone does what he wants them to do. In this case, he forced the D.C. mayor to have the mural destroyed and rename the park Liberty Plaza. This form of coercion in a president is immoral and reprehensible. We should not stand for it.

I think he makes a good point. Both options are vile. With a shutdown you only retain"essential employees," which is basically what Trumusk are trying to accomplish with the RIF. And they'll blame the Dems anyway.
