Anyone want to see our latest paper on #masks? #healthpolicy 🧪 www.bmj.com/content/388/...

So sorry to see this. There's a link to @barryjmjones.bsky.social letter that is worth reading. TL;DR: "...the IPC guidance now embodied in the four home nations’ IPC manuals is still at odds with the science and evidence presented to the Inquiry."

End of CATA’s campaign and participation in Module 3 of the UK Covid Public Inquiry Letter from CATA Executive Team to member organisations: - BAPEN - RCSLT - BOHS - QNI - ARTP - BDA - BIASP - BSG - COP - DAUK - NNNG - PSL and individual members tinyurl.com/ysekrns6

The government continues to refuse to update IPC guidance. #CovidIsAirborne

It is beyond compression that the new Health Minister @ashleydaltonmp.bsky.social won't look at updating IPC guidance. This is something that could save lives NOW. #CovidIsAirborne

New from the incomparable Linsey Marr (via @jvipondmd.bsky.social ) 🧪 www.nature.com/articles/d41...

x.com/safedavid3/s... Latest response from new Health minister responsible for our safety. Still no inclusion of science heard at inquiry and no response to CATA letter to Gwynne. Who is feeding this rubbish to @ashleydaltonmp.bsky.social ?

CATA's disappointment as the Chair of the UK #CovidInquiry rejects making an interim recommendation - something that could save lives. #CovidIsAirborne cc: @barryjmjones.bsky.social @safedavid3.bsky.social www.bapen.org.uk/other-news/c...

Please excuse a polite reminder @carladenyer.bsky.social, but when you posted about your own poor health Prof Agius sent you a link to his work - may I please ask that you consider his expertise, & that of CATA's, & prioritise TGP's 'Living with Covid Safely' Policy. T y. @barryjmjones.bsky.social

I see Andrew 'we don't need to change IPC guidance until there's scientific proof that covid is airborne' Gwynne has been sacked as health minister.

Whether Andrew Gwynne or someone else is minister for #PublicHealth, it would be nice to see some public health in action @rthonwesstreeting.bsky.social Time to update the IPC guidance in the #NHS. Time to stop failing people left disabled by Covid infections. Time to be honest. #CovidIsAirborne

In case of interest @georgemonbiot.bsky.social, an excellent 🧵 from CATA's H&S Consultant. If the Covid Inquiry refuse to acknowledge Covid is Airborne (despite evidence given from experts incl @barryjmjones.bsky.social), what lessons have been learnt exactly (& it doesn't bode well re #H5N1).

⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️ COVID-19 Inquiry refuses to make healthcare employers comply with the law ⚖️ ⚖️ ⚖️ ⚖️ ⚖️ ⚖️ ⚖️

That the #CovidInquiry won't issue an interim report on IPC guidance that might save lives NOW, is frustrating beyond belief.

To be fair, it's not even the latest science. Sars1 was designated as an airborne virus and sars2 is not very different. The droplet dogma is a ruse.

🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨 UK COVID-19 INQUIRY DECLINES TO RULE THAT COVID IS AIRBORNE 🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨 covid19.public-inquiry.uk/wp-content/u...

As we approach a milestone year, we'd love to see you at our two upcoming events. (To get a rough idea of numbers attending, please email to let us know: [email protected]) We'll be live streaming on FB both days. If you can't join in person, hope you can join online. ❤️

Ater having heard such compellimg evidence, the Chair's ruling (refusal) on the request by numerous core participants for an interim recommendation on module 3 of the #CovidInquiry is more than disappointing - lives may be lost. #CovidIsAirborne covid19.public-inquiry.uk/documents/ru...

I am grateful to @drscottarthurmp.bsky.social for saying this. Accountability, as well as remembrance, is important to the covid bereaved.

Almost 5 years since I started asking about air quality in relation to covid. Fewer people now tell me I don’t know what I’m talking about.

This is very disappointing from Health Secretary @gwynnemp.bsky.social - anyone who heard the evidence of @barryjmjones.bsky.social and others at the covid inquiry would have no doubt that #covid is airborne.

No, SARS-CoV-2 isn’t a little bit airborne. It’s not “situationally” airborne. It’s an AIRBORNE VIRUS, spreads via the air. I’m granting an amnesty on people who said (5y ago) that it wasn’t. I won’t say I told you so if you finally acknowledge the evidence. Let’s just get this right and move on.

KC Alice Munro VERY strong in her opening statement at Module 4 of the #CovidInquiry - she talks.about the 'collective amnesia' that happens when inquiries finish, and stresses that that can't be allowed to happen with this inquiry.

If only public health authorities gave the same level of emphasis to portable air filters as they do to handwashing… www.sciencedirect.com/science/arti...

It would take an hour to educate every healthcare worker in the world on how airborne transmission of viruses works, how respirators prevent transmission, and why it is good to stop transmission. It is criminal that this has not been done already.

And today we also had the sad task of updating the number of covid dead in the UK. ❤️

Another reminder: Respiratory infections spread mainly through the air. That’s why they affect the lungs. Masks, worn correctly and consistently, reduce the spread of respiratory infections. Respirators work better than masks. Washing hands isn’t wrong, but it won’t stop airborne transmission.

It’s the fault of UKHSA for not upgrading the guidance to reflect airborne transmission & @uklabour.bsky.social that hospitals are currently overloaded. Ffp3 masks work! Why are staff in gappy surgical or no masks at all? www.theguardian.com/world/2021/j...

The first picture is our tally of the covid dead taken a year ago. The second picture was taken on Friday. Due to the absence of testing, how many more deaths haven't been recorded? ♥️
