Not looking good, is it.

A whole new team. Keep Amad, Kobbie, Ugarte and Licha. The rest are up for grabs in my book. Maybe Bruno as well.

Snow forecast here too. May be wrong, but don't see it amounting to much.

I'm definitely not throwing the towel in with Amorim. But I do want him to be less stubborn and consider adapting his approach to fit the players we have, especially given it seems there will be no room to bring in new players in Jan.

Very true, and his record indicates he is the best man for the job. My concern is that we're heading in an alarming direction, and he may need to compromise a little to avert a potential disaster.

I don't disagree. We need to be patient and I'm certainly not advocating a change of coach again. I just think he might need to be a little more flexible with his approach.

Yeah they did. I guess even they didn't expect this sort of free fall.
A couple of wins and the picture changes of course. I just fear we're drifting in quite a dangerous direction.

I agree. I just wonder if it's a bit ambitious trying to change the system so quickly without those training sessions. A more gradual switch would seem to make more sense - to me at least.

Not suggesting we change the coach, I'm suggesting the coach may need to be more flexible with his system and tactics.

It's embarrassing to say the least. I'm sure there are good reasons but it does look utterly shambolic.

I'd say we're becoming a laughing stock, but we already are.

Very much so. As @utdheisenberg.bsky.social said, for all that I've never liked them they at least used to play good football. Now it's all about how many corners they can get!

I honestly can't remember where I saw it, but it really made me laugh. They should just sign Jonathan Walters and Ryan Shawcross and be done with it!

People always get carried away. We've had decent spells in the games prior to last night, but also enough to show the hard work needed to get us where we want to be.
Last night was no surprise. In fact I was heartened by the commitment the players showed. Not always been the case...

Looks delicious. I'll have a bash at those this week.

Sounds like a good lighthearted read. I'll add to my list!

A good number to pick from but for me it's I Believe In Father Christmas by Greg Lake.
Honourable mentions for Fairytale of New York, Happy Xmas (War Is Over) and Band Aid. But that's the winner for me.

Thank you, I'll look into that.

Very kind of you. Thanks 😊

Could be. Although I'd argue he'd still be the main man if his performances justified it. He's probably still the biggest 'name' at the club, in part because he's English. But Kobbie, Garnacho, Hojlund etc could all supplant him if he doesn't improve his consistency.

Don't disagree. I think his attitude has been questionable at times, but we know on his day he can be borderline unplayable. My preference would be for the 2022/23 Rashford to resurface, but not so sure how realistic that is.

I'm fairly comfortable either way tbh. On his day he can still be a match winner, but he does blow hot and cold too much.
If a good offer came in, I wouldn't lose too much sleep if he departed. But equally I wouldn't want him out of the door without the deal being the right one.

Yep that's exactly it. In my brief forays across there I am reminded very quickly about how poisonous and unpleasant it can be, so I generally retreat again quite quickly!

Went for a plain old chicken curry last night. Takeaway as didn't feel in the mood for cooking, but it was bloody lovely.

Yeah that's exactly it. The majority of folk I followed there are now here, but just a few stragglers I don't want to lose touch with.

This is entirely my difficulty. I keep hoping they'll shift over and then I will definitely close my account down.
Followers there are dropping like a stone, which admittedly is partly because I've stopped posting. But also seems to indicate I had a lot of fake followers.

I'm probably missing a vital part of the story, but from what she says in her resignation letter it seems like a total non event. She's evidently done the right thing to stop it growing arms and legs, but seems very trivial if I've understood correctly.

Yep his stamp is definitely there. Onwards and upwards but great to have the first win taken care of.

Don't know why there's a link at the bottom of my reply. Sorry, please ignore that.
